"Ask No Quarter: A Biography of Agnes Macphail"

Sub-sub-series consists of correspondence, royalties, notes, and news clippings relating to Shackleton and Stewart’s book, published in 1959 by Longmans, Green, and subsequent article on Agnes Macphail. Series also contains correspondence, research notes, and the script for the 1977 NFB documentary film “The Lady from Grey County.”

Associate Vice-President, Academic - general

Sub-sub-series consists of the Vice-President, Academic's correspondence with, related to, or copied from the Associate Vice-President, Academic. Division of responsibilities between the VP and the AVP has changed over time and varied according to the individuals holding these positions. Prior to 1983, this series includes the actual correspondence of the AVP; around this date, the Office of the Associate Vice-President, Academic established its own file classification system and thereafter the AVP's correspondence was maintained separately (see fonds F-201). Activities and topics documented in the correspondence include meetings between the VP and the AVP, policy development, program proposals, government liaison, international activities, budget planning, supervision of units that reported to the AVP, high-school liaison, and promotion of university research. Records includes correspondence, proposals, reports, meeting agenda and minutes, agreements, and notes and working papers.

Audit Committee records

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the activities of the Audit Committee, sometimes also referred to as the Finance and Audit Committee. Activities, events and topics documented include Committee meetings, budget preparation, and correspondence with the Auditor General's Office. Records include terms of reference; minutes and supporting papers; correspondence; financial statements; and an information package.

BC Beerfront News (CAMRA BC)

Sub-sub-series consists of 4 issues of the BC Beer Front News, the newsletter of CAMRA BC's predecessor organization. An earlier group of CAMRA Canada members based in the Lower Mainland incorporated as CAMRA BC in 1985. They met regularly and produced a newsletter for several years, but their registration as a BC Society had lapsed and they were no longer active by 1990 when the new group based in Victoria incorporated separately as CAMRA BC. Sub-sub-series consists of Granville Island Brewing beer bottles and cases.

Bookstore

Sub-sub-series consists of the Vice-President, Academic's correspondence with, related to, or copied from the University Bookstore during the period when it was administratively part of the Library and belonged to the VP Academic's reporting portfolio (1970-1985; 1990-1994). Activities and topics documented include management, operations, and finances of the Bookstore, policy development, and staff relations. Records include correspondence, reports (including a 1970 study of the financial situation and the 1975/76 annual report), and financial and operating statements.

British Columbia

This sub-sub-series contains material related to forestry industry in British Columbia, specifically including records related to the following companies: Slocan Forest Products, Canfor, Omineca, and Celgar pulp mills. Many records relate to the forest management policies, logging quotas and statistics as well as legislation establishing the Allowable Annual Cuts. Some documents discuss the British Columbia situation in general and some discuss the specific geographic regions, such as Kootenays Vancouver Island, Northeast BC, etc. as well as specific forestry issues, such as old growth logging, timber supply and sales. It contains reports, proposal and plans, analysis, papers, articles, regulations, maps, correspondence, clippings, newsletters, notes, etc. Some records document Indigenous peoples’ situation in relation to land use and industrial activities.
