SFU/Secwepemc Cultural Education Society (SCES) Program

Sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the SFU/Secwepemc Cultural Education Society Program. Activities, events and topics documented include program development, the SFU/SCES Joint Committee, and planning for the 10-year program anniversary in 1998. Records include correspondence, minutes, working papers, contracts, course outlines, budget and financial working papers, questionnaires, and publications.

"Shadow Catch" records

Sub-series consists of records relating to the chamber opera "Shadow Catch," for which Marlatt composed the libretto. The opera was affiliated with the Pro Musica Society of Vancouver's Further East Further West Series, as well as the City of Vancouver's 125th Anniversary Celebration. "Shadow Catch" ran from December 2-4, 2011 at the Firehall Arts Centre in Vancouver. Records include draft scripts, correspondence, articles, musical scores, photographs, programs, and advertisements.

Share and hate/general groups

This sub-series contains records related to Share groups or Share societies of BC that formed in response to the forest preservation movements and formation of the parks. Share societies aimed at the protection of working land and use of the forest for their livelihood. In addition, this sub-series contains records related to the anti-environmental groups, religious/cult groups, wise use movement group, forest and pulp mill industry sympathizers and other similar groups and movements that opposed the protection of forests. Some materials related to the matters of racism, human rights and free speech.

Shoes

Sub-series consists of merchandise created by Adbusters Media Foundation for the Blackspot sneaker campaign. Items include two pairs of blackspot shoes: v. 1 classic sneaker and v. 2 the unswoosher. The classic sneaker comes with its original shoebox.

Signature Authorization Committee

Formed in 1986, the Signature Authorization Committee was a standing committee empowered to appoint signing officers of the University. The Committee was active until it was dissolved and had its responsibilities absorbed by the Finance and Administration Committee in 2004. This sub-series consists of records related to signing authorization activities pre-2004. Includes memos; correspondence; meeting agendas and minutes; guidelines, procedures and terms of reference; as well as contracts and agreements.

Signs

Sub-series consists of six wooden signs from the Shaftebury Brewing Company in Vancouver, advertising their various brands ca. 1990s.

Simon Fraser Student Society

Sub-series consists of records relating to the Dean's interaction with the Simon Fraser Student Society and includes funding proposals for Student Society-led activities; policy development; and correspondence with campus organizations including the Phrateres Club, the United Nations Association, Debating Society, Physics Club, Sports Car Club, C.K.S.F. Radio, Outdoor Club, and the International Association Club. Records include correspondence and working papers, publications, press releases, reports and financial statements.

Simon Fraser Student Society staff meeting minutes

Sub-series consists of records arising from the participation of the Women's Centre Coordinator in the Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS) montly staff meetings. The post of Women's Centre Coordinator was created and funded in 1991 as an SFSS staff position, initially reporting to the Administrative Services Committee (1991-2001), then subsequently to the SFSS Executive and SFSS Board of Directors. The Coordinator works with the Women's Centre Collective to oversee the operations, activities, services and programs of the Centre. Records consist of the Coordinator's copies of agendas, minutes, proposals, reports and other meeting support papers.

Sub-series consists of records relating to the awarding of internal SFU research grants and the activities of the committees that adjudicate them, include the Excellence in Teaching Award Committee, the President's Research Grant Committee, the Sterling Prize Committee, and the SFU Innovation Fund Committee. Records include correspondence, proposals, and lists of requests and award recipients.

Simon Fraser University Faculty Association (SFUFA)

Sub-series consists of records relating to the Vice-President, Academic's participation in the university's consultations and negotiations with the Simon Fraser University Faculty Association (SFUFA) on matters relating the collective framework agreement, academic policies, and other matters affecting the terms and conditions of academic employment. Records include correspondence, meeting agendas and minutes, the report of the Joint Committee on Appeals on Matters Affecting Terms and Conditions of Employment (1993) and other reports, lists of SFUFA executive members, and arbitration briefs.

Simon Fraser University Faculty Association (SFUFA)

Sub-series consists of records relating to the university's consultations and negotiations with the Simon Fraser University Faculty Association (SFUFA). Activities and topics documented include benefits, dues, salaries, consultation meetings, and negotiations on the collective framework agreement governing the terms and conditions of employment for faculty. Records include correspondence, reports, policies, meeting minutes, agreements, legal advice, and SFUFA newsletters and other printed matter.

Singing forest

This sub-series contains records related to campaign to protect the old growth forest in West Kootenay, located at the East side of the Tenise Creek and a portion of Howser Creek that local people call “Singing forest”.

Sub-series consists of slides created by LIDC photographers, maintained in alphabetically organized files based on subject. The exact relationship between the slides and the negatives and contact sheets in sub-series 4 is not clear; slides may have been created from the original negatives, but (with very few exceptions) there is no cross-reference on the slide back to a negative. For the general range of subjects, see parent series description (F-18-1).

Sub-series contains slides compiled by James Delgado during the filming of "The Sea Hunters." Slides relate to several locations, shipwrecks, and events featured in the series, including Vrouw Maria (Finland), Fox (Greenland), USS Akron, Dresden (Chile), and D-day.

Sub-series consists of photographic slides created or compiled by James Delgado through his professional and personal activities. Includes slides compiled by Delgado for research, writing, and other professional activities, as well as slides created from personal family photographs. Slides depict archaeological sites Delgado has visited, shipwreck sites he has studied, historical landmarks and other sites related to his work, and photographs compiled for the use in his publications and lectures.
