Item is a newspaper clipping featuring a "Notice" from the B.C. Security Commission to Japanese Canadian evacuees published in the "New Canadian" newspaper pertaining to pay scales, assignment payments, and other conditions placed on Japanese Canadian evacuees and their families, as well as alternative employment available to these men. On the verso of the newspaper clipping is a "Notice to all persons of the Japanese race" from the Commission, pertaining to the care of the families of male evacuees, as well as a portion of an article pertaining to hostility towards evacuees in the Okanagan.

The letter alludes to "incipient trouble" and potential strike action by the workers.
