    Series consists of records relating to Stephen Stratton's work as Director of University Services. Activities documented include new student orientation; wheelchair students on campus; participation on the Deans Fees Committee; projects including visits to local high schools and student placement; a proposal for integration of Financial Aid and the Resources Office; studies on student attrition and withdrawals; and liaison with student services including Day Care, Health Services, Counselling, and the Simon Fraser Student Society. Records include correspondence and working papers, reports, minutes and statistics.

        Records relating to Stephen Stratton's term as Director of University Services can also be found in the records of Stan Roberts who served after Stratton as Vice-President, University Services from 1972 to 1977. It appears that after Stratton's resignation in 1972, some records were passed on to Roberts and integrated into his filing system. These records were processed together as part of F-54 by prior Archives staff. During the processing and redescription of Student Services records in 2005 it was impossible to determine the original order of the records and the decision was made to leave Stratton's records integrated with those of Stan Roberts in F-207 Vice-President, Unviversity Services.
