Series consists of photographic materials created by Peak journalists and photographers in the course of publishing the student newspaper. Photos depict SFU students, faculty, staff and administrators in a variety of settings, as well as the physical environment and grounds of the university. Record types comprise contact sheets, prints, and negatives.
The series has been arranged into one sub-series. Future accruals may be organized into new sub-series, depending on format or the ways in which they were maintained by The Peak:

Arrangement
In the initial arrangement of the fonds in 1999, contact sheets and negatives were physically housed in file folders and registered as files under this series (F-17-1). In 2022, the Archives reorganized the series. It created a new sub-series (F-17-1-1) for the contact sheets and negatives, with sub-sub-series by year. This arrangement leaves open the possibility of other sub-series for future accruals of photographs that may be transferred in different formats (e.g. digital) or were organized by The Peak in different systems.

The Peak Publications Society retains copyright in the images. The Archives may make copies available for private study or research purposes under the fair dealing provisions of Canada's Copyright Act, but use for any other purpose requires the permission of The Peak.
