Traffic and Security

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of Traffic and Security on campus and includes security reports; campus crime statistics; parking fines and the sale of parking spaces; correspondence with the campus community; policies and procedures; the campus security contract; and student submissions to a parking contest. Food Services

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of Food Services on campus and includes correspondence with food services company vendors and the on-site staff of Servomation and Beaver; contracts, proposals, and development plans; Food Services Committee working papers; financial statements; policies and procedures; and campus concerns regarding menus, food quality, prices, and dining space. Reports include "SFU Food Services Study," "Review of Food Services for SFU," "Food Services Report," and "A Study of Aspects of Food Services at SFU." General

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to general topics relating to Student Services Departments and includes correspondence with members of the university community. Activities documented include administration of Futures and the Management by Objectives programs and review of Student Services. Handicapped (Disabled) Students

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of programs and services for handicapped and learning disabled students on campus and includes correspondence with students, prospective disabled students, the campus community, and provincial associations regarding disability issues; records relating to the President's Committee for Physically Disabled Students; minutes of the Disabled Student Association; recommendations from the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies regarding support for students with learning disabilities; documents about renovation proposals to provide improved access for handicapped students on campus; and the coordination of the student aide program to assist blind and hearing impaired students. Records include correspondence and working papers, reports, minutes, and financial statements.

Leadership Development Program

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Leadership Development Program and includes workshop and retreat planning documents and photos; correspondence with student leaders and members of the university community; program interviews, evaluations and reports; a Student Leader Handbook; copies of "Leader's Digest" and "Class Quarterly" newsletters; minutes of the Recruiting Committee; organization documents about SPLASH conferences; and draft budgets. Alcohol and Drug Program

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Alcohol and Drug Program on campus and includes correspondence with members of the university community and external organizations regarding alcohol and drug issues; drug and alcohol information pamphlets; polices and procedures regarding alcohol management on campus; minutes from the Alcohol/Security and Alcohol Policy Committees; security reports regarding alcohol and drug offenses on campus; and Bill Stewart's documents as a member of the Advocacy Committee with the Alcohol-Drug Education Service of Vancouver. International Office

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of the International Office on campus and includes correspondence between the Office and university community regarding international students. Activities documented include development of orientation, counselling and programs for international students; space and funding proposals; International Club newsletters; student refugee profiles; conference and seminar information; and the document "Report of the Task Force on International Students at Simon Fraser University." Also included are records relating to SFU's involvement with the World University Service of Canada (W.U.S.C.) and the Canadian Bureau for International Education (C.B.I.E.). Residences

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of residences on campus and includes housing reports and student residence proposals; residence rental contracts; new residences planning documents; policies and procedures; and correspondence with students in residence, the City of Burnaby, the Tenant's Association, Residence Policy Committee, Residence Appeals Committee, Residence and Housing External Review Committee, and the Budget Committee. Also documented are issues related to residence staffing, living restrictions, campus parking, security and renovations, rental increases, student complaints, and publications produced by Residences about campus and off-campus housing. Futures Program

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Futures Program, a conference developed for high school students to learn more about SFU and career paths after university education and includes correspondence with the campus community, high school counsellors and students; conference brochures and promotional materials; registration forms and statistics; orientation tour questionnaires; session planning and development documents; interview summaries, and post-conference surveys. Records include correspondence and working papers, reports, surveys and publications.

Nightline Program

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Nightline Program, the campus crisis counselling service and includes proposals for the program and its future development. Activities documented include correspondence with members of the university community; advertising and training of volunteers; grant proposals; volunteer survey reports; a newspaper article about the program; campus advertising; development of policies, procedures and budgets, and reorganization of the program in 1992. University Choirs

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of university choirs on campus and includes correspondence regarding the funding and performance schedules of the SFU Choir and the SFU Madrigal Singers; grant applications and budgets; membership lists; promotional flyers and newspaper advertisements in The Peak. Challenge Program

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Challenge Program and includes correspondence with the campus community, student participants, and the provincial and federal government; supervisor lists; policies and procedures; AUCE 2 union concerns; blank project forms and memos; job postings and project proposals; funding allocations; and program brochures produced by the government. Chaplain's Office

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of the Chaplain's Office on campus and includes employee lists, Dean's correspondence with the Office and external religious affiliations, budget planning documents, a proposal for an Interfaith Centre on campus, and brochures produced by the Chaplain's Office. Records include correspondence, minutes, reports, working papers, newspaper clippings, financial statements, and publications.

Counselling Service

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of the Counselling Service on campus and includes Dean's correspondence with the Office, brochures and posters produced by Counselling Service, user statistics and surveys, annual reports, and budget and staffing proposals. General

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of Student Services projects and functions and includes promotional materials and photographs from University open house and anniversary events. Activities documented include budget and general project planning; production of student handbooks; workshops with Crown Zellerbach; student surveys; and correspondence with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and student programs including Headstart, Study Skills, Cooperative Education, Job Finding Club, and First Year Experience. Daycare Centre

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of the Daycare Centre and its individual childcare programs on campus including Morningside, Malaika, Crackers, Pink, Los Ninos, Kahpoo, and Nanitsh. Interactive Videodisc Career Planning Project

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Interactive Videodisc Career Planning Project, also known as Knowledge for Youth About Careers (KYAC) Project and includes regular progress reports; university copyright concerns regarding the project; correspondence with the university community; budgets and audited financial reviews; government funding contracts; script and design documentation; a draft of "One Year Business Plan for SFU Interactive Videodisc Career Project;" and publishing and marketing proposals.
