Sub-series consists of records relating to the university's interactions and cooperation with external organizations. Activities and topics documented include a proposal for a Centre for Arts and Science (1978-1980), SFU's relationship with the cable television station KCTS 9 and the Knowledge Network, university development in Indonesia, and the Maclean's magazine survey. Sub-series consists of records relating to the Dean's development and administration of student services on campus and includes correspondence with members of the university community including the President, Vice-President Administration, Vice-President Academic, faculty, and student services staff; correspondence with external organizations including the YWCA, Workman's Compensation Board, Selkirk College, Capilano College, Union Theological College, and the University of Lethbridge; student surveys and interviews; admissions policies and grading procedures; student orientation; development of the anti-calendar; budgets; a proposal for a division of University Services; and a Vancouver Life magazine article on mature students at SFU. Records include correspondence and working papers, meeting agendas and minutes, financial statements, reports, and publications.
