The fonds consists of drafts of manuscripts of poetry, essays and articles, short fiction, scripts, and novels, originals and reproductions of publications in which Turner's and other author's works have appeared, clippings of reviews and articles about Turner and his published works, and other records and ephemera related to Turner's writing, editing, and publishing activities and projects. It also contains photographs, notes, clippings, correspondence, audio and digital recordings, ephemera and press materials related to Turner's musicianship, including his stint in the Hard Rock Miners. The fonds is arranged in seven series: Music; Writing; Publishing, editing, and consulting; Teaching; Acting; Event promotion, management, and judging; and Correspondence.

The fonds consists of promotional materials, most notably full-colour posters, surrounding the shortlisting and adjudication of potential winners and the subsequent selection and celebration of winners of the prestigious prizes. Also included are media clippings and press releases surrounding the event.

The fonds consist of materials that relate to Twigg’s work as a writer, publisher and cofounder of the B.C. Book Prizes in the years 1975 to 2008. The fonds is arranged in 14 series: Correspondence; Political Campaign and Poetry of Bud Osborn; Vancouver Theatre; Television Interviews; Twigg’s Book Research; George Woodcock’s Translation of Proust; Audio Cassette Interviews; Transcripts of Interviews; Authors’ Photographs and Negatives; Special Items; B.C. Materials include incoming and outgoing correspondence, taped television interviews, transcripts of television interviews, drafts of Twigg’s literary works, an unpublished manuscript of George Woodcock’s translation of Proust, audio cassette interviews, transcripts of interviews, photographs, banners, awards, legal documents, financial records, notes and newspaper and magazine clippings of Twigg’s published articles.

The fonds consists mainly of items related to Gaston's writing activities dating from 1981. It includes hand-written and word-processed correspondence between Gaston and friends, editors, publishers, and other writers; galley copies, published copies, manuscripts and drafts of unpublished and published books, articles, short stories, plays, radio plays, reviews, and poems; clippings and photocopies of reviews of Gaston's work; pen and ink drawings by Gaston; author photographs, contact sheets, and negatives; miscellaneous notes by Gaston on his work, thoughts, and readings; notes and memos related to Gaston's work as a teacher; an address book; a VHS video tape; promotional materials for Gaston's books and public appearances at readings and festivals; and ephemera such as tourism brochures.

The materials were received from the creator in two accessions. The first accession consisted of 12 boxes containing records of Gaston's work and writing from 1981 to 2005, including materials relating to all his published works up to Sointula (2004). The second consisted of five boxes containing materials relating mostly to the period from 2006 to 2008, covering the creation and publication of Midnight Hockey (2006), Gargoyles (2006), and The Order of Good Cheer (2008). The creator had arranged the materials in the fonds generally by individual work, and this arrangement has been maintained. Original file titles, where available, have also been retained. The fonds consists mainly of textual materials, including notes and drafts of Lai’s works, numerous calendars and datebooks, school materials, and material related to her activism and arts involvement. There are also a large number of photocopied reference materials on such subjects as the arts, gay and lesbian issues, racism and feminism, and Chinese culture. There are a small number of photographs and negatives, and a wide variety of audio-visual media such as cassette tapes, Hi8 cassettes, broadcast video cassettes, and various computer media.

Fonds consists of the administrative records of the School, copies of communications and promotional materials, and audio recordings of talks and readings. Records in the fonds include correspondence, grant applications, collective meeting minutes, budgets and annual financial reports. Communications and promotional materials include press releases, brochures, and posters.

Fonds consists of records documenting Timothy Taylor's work as a writer of fiction in Vancouver, B.C. Records consist of project notes, correspondence, drafts of both Stanley Park and Story House and workbooks for novels. The fonds is arranged into three series: Project notes; Stanley Park records; Story House records.

Fonds consist of items related to the process of selecting, accepting, and editing manuscripts for journal publications dating from 1993 to 2006. This includes annotated envelopes from submitted material, publication agreement forms, correspondence between the contributor and the Collective members, artist and author biographies, self addressed stamped envelopes, artwork reproductions, submitted manuscripts in both electronic and hardcopy format, edited publication proofs, editors’ notes and internal correspondence, and published copies of the completed volumes. The Collective’s activities were conducted in Vancouver, British Columbia although submissions were accepted from women internationally.

Fonds primarily contains examples of art created by Charles van Sandwyk from 1987-2005. The art includes prints, ephemera from books published by van Sandwyk, and ephemera from art exhibitions. Also included is biographical items about van Sandwyk, and two photographs of the artist. The material is arranged based on the type of material and, when applicable, the book for which the art was created. The fonds is divided into five series: Series 1. Biographical Items, Series 2. The fonds contains manuscripts, correspondence, journals, documents related to provincial and national writers organizations and documents related to the founding and running of Caitlin Press, The Poem Factory/Usine de Poeme, and Coracle Press including correspondence, manuscripts, promotional materials, and business records. Also includes papers related to Zonailo's academic work at various universities, as well as personal memorabilia, phonograph recordings and audio-cassettes of Zonailo's poetry set to music, video-cassettes, musical scores, literary periodicals, books by other authors (mostly inscribed to Zonailo), poetry broadsides, chapbooks, and ephemera. Records related to Zonailo's work as a member or the planning committee of the C.G. Jung Society of Montreal and editor of its newsletter are also included as well as correspondence, periodicals, graphic materials, and other records related to astrology.

The fonds consists of records reflecting Gustafson’s career as a successful artist and editor. They include Artichoke business records, correspondence with Hilary Stewart, artwork, financial records and other miscellaneous records.
