Fonds consists of records made or received by Mitch Taylor in the course of his professional activities and business ventures from 1972 to 1992. The records relate primarily to Taylor's co-founding, development and operation of Granville Island Brewing Company Limited in Vancouver, BC from 1981 to April 1989; his time at the brewery in the role of VP Sales and Marketing for Potters Distilling from April 1989 to 1992; and his co-founding of Creekhouse Industries on Granville Island in 1972.

Fonds consists of textual records, graphic materials, photographic materials and artefacts, and is arranged into four series:

Fonds consists of records relating to the activities and management of the publishing company, including correspondence, financial documents, administrative files, rejection letters, educational materials, edited manuscripts, page proofs, printer proofs, production graphics, design mockups, teacher accompaniments, newspaper clippings, catalogues and sales reports. Fonds also contains Scott McIntyre's records from his work with the Canadian Pacific Publishing Society, and books published by Douglas & McIntyre, including the imprints Greystone Books, Groundwood Books, and Western Producer Prairie Books.

Fonds consists of records documenting the establishment of the filling Station Publications Society in Calgary, Alberta, in 1993, and its ongoing business editing and publishing "filling Station" magazine, individual chapbooks and hosting literary events. Collection consists of records collected by Robert McDonald while he was living and working as a journalist in Greece. The bulk of the documents and publications reflect the period from 1967 to 1974, while Robert McDonald was a correspondent for the BBC. The collection also contains background material relating to the war years 1940-45, the civil war period, the invasion of Cyprus, and restoration of Greek Democracy. These historically sensitive items document the political events of Greece in the form of personal notes, manuscripts, newspapers, magazines and interview tapes. Some highlights include: The resistance organizations' secret circulars; political prisoners' signed documents; and tapes that contain unpublished interviews with Evangelos Averoff - a key figure in the movement to overthrow the military dictatorship. Later materials include research and reports on economic subjects such as the evolution of Greek industry during the period of accession to the Eurozone and first eight years of participation, the competitiveness of the Greek economy, and materials related to Cyprus.

Personal journals

Series consists of notebooks, journals, notes and press clippings. From about 1945 to 2005 Duke made nearly daily entries in notebooks. These notebooks contain Duke’s thoughts, observations and concepts for future projects ranging from articles to screenplays, legal proceedings, housing plans and travel accounts.

Essays and articles

Series consists of drafts, final versions, correspondence, notes and clippings related to Duke’s work as an essayist.
