Fonds consists of records relating to the activities of the Book and Periodical Development Council and its committees and task forces. They include reports, research, Freedom to Read kits, bank statements, minutes, correspondence, newspaper clippings, memos, and newsletters.

Fonds consists of correspondence, photographs and ephemera as well as published and unpublished manuscripts from several authors: Victoria Walker, Stephen Stepanchev, Lionel Kearns, George Stanley, Robert Creeley, Ed Dorn, Joan Kyger, Bill Corbett, Duncan McNaughton, Robin Blaser and Michael Davidson.

The fonds consists mainly of items related to Gaston's writing activities dating from 1981. It includes hand-written and word-processed correspondence between Gaston and friends, editors, publishers, and other writers; galley copies, published copies, manuscripts and drafts of unpublished and published books, articles, short stories, plays, radio plays, reviews, and poems; clippings and photocopies of reviews of Gaston's work; pen and ink drawings by Gaston; author photographs, contact sheets, and negatives; miscellaneous notes by Gaston on his work, thoughts, and readings; notes and memos related to Gaston's work as a teacher; an address book; a VHS video tape; promotional materials for Gaston's books and public appearances at readings and festivals; and ephemera such as tourism brochures.
The materials were received from the creator in two accessions. The first accession consisted of 12 boxes containing records of Gaston's work and writing from 1981 to 2005, including materials relating to all his published works up to Sointula (2004). The second consisted of five boxes containing materials relating mostly to the period from 2006 to 2008, covering the creation and publication of Midnight Hockey (2006), Gargoyles (2006), and The Order of Good Cheer (2008). The creator had arranged the materials in the fonds generally by individual work, and this arrangement has been maintained. Original file titles, where available, have also been retained. Fonds also contains a grant proposal, correspondence, notes, drafts, and layouts related to producing the work. B.C. Poets and Print appeared in Open Letter (Seventh series, nos. 2-3) in 1988.

Fonds consists of moving images, sound recordings, and textual records relating to Arthur Erickson, his achievements, his travels, and his friends and family. Moving images include documentaries; exhibitions; TV programs; Architectural Institute of America meetings; artistic films; and home movies documenting Erickson's travels and family life. Note that a number of the films are duplicates stored on different mediums (e.g. Betacam, U-matic, and VHS). Sound recordings include radio interviews, lecture series, news documentaries, movie soundtracks, and a soundtrack for the Architectural Institute of America awards ceremony. Textual records include two books and two pamphlets.

The collection consists of Lampman's manuscripts, letters by Lampman to Maud Playter Lampman (1885-1898), letters to family members, correspondence with other poets and editors (1882-1897), letters exchanged between Lampman family members and friends (1859-1950) and miscellanea (1887-1965). Correspondents include Bliss Carman and Hamlin Garland. Collection includes photographs of Lampman, the Lampman family, and various Lampman residences.

The fonds consists of correspondence (with manuscript and typescript enclosures) from Anne Waldman to Lewis Warsh, much of it pertaining to the relationship between the two poets, as well as to relationships with other poets. Their involvement in the Naropa Institute is also described. Most of the letters from 1969 to 1973 concern the publishing of Angel Hair Books and contain much information about the New York poetry world centred at the Poetry Project.

Fonds also includes correspondence of Bill Messenger and his father, Edmund Messenger.

Includes drafts of her first three novels: Tamarind Mem (1997), The Hero’s Walk and Can You Hear the Nightbird Call?. There are no records related to her last novel, Tell it to the Trees (2011).
