Fonds consists of material created, received and used by Colleen McCrory during her work as founder of the Valhalla Wilderness Society and as a member of the BC Environmental Network, Taiga Resource Network, the Boreal Forest Network and Canada's Future Forest Alliance. Includes material relating to the activities and accomplishments of these groups in general, as well as records pertaining to environmental movements and activities at the provincial, national and international level, and a significant amount of material relating to indigenous peoples' roles in these movements. Material also documents McCrory's achievements, honours and recognition. Records include correspondence, reports, newspaper clippings, newsletters, books, journals, posters and a flag. Major subject areas covered include: Clayoquot Sound, Carmanah Valley, Stein Valley, lower Stikine, pulp mills, logging and forestry, gas industry, dams, legal disputes, campaigns to save specific areas in B.C., particularly the Slocan Valley and areas in the Kootenays, the proposed Jumbo Glacier ski resort, activities of the New Democratic Party of BC. Together these records document the history of environmental movement in British Columbia and Canada.
However, Valhalla Wilderness Society fonds contain very little material on major campaigns that VWS worked on, like watershed conflicts in the Slocan Valley. VWS decided that these materials are still essential for the ongoing business of their organization.

Collection comprises photographs, manuscripts, correspondence, ephemera, books and periodical material resulting from and pertaining to the settlement and subsequent history of Doukhobors in Western Canada. Books and periodical items have been catalogued in the SFU Library Catalogue. Digitized images and accompanying descriptions of a portion of the collection are available on the Doukhobor Collection, 1898-1930 website.
Fonds consists of records made or received by Mitch Taylor in the course of his professional activities and business ventures from 1972 to 1992. The records relate primarily to Taylor's co-founding, development and operation of Granville Island Brewing Company Limited in Vancouver, BC from 1981 to April 1989; his time at the brewery in the role of VP Sales and Marketing for Potters Distilling from April 1989 to 1992; and his co-founding of Creekhouse Industries on Granville Island in 1972.

The fonds is a hybrid, containing born-digital materials as well as paper and analogue textual records, graphic materials, audiovisual materials, and artifacts. Records include magazines, books, posters, pamphlets, digital newsletters, digital spoof advertisements, graphic designs, mockups, memes, promotional photographs, marketing plans, operational notes and manuals, financial statements, correspondence, legal records, talking notes, and website captures. Records also include interview transcriptions and copies of newspaper and magazine articles documenting the organization's achievements. Fonds consists of 22 sketchbooks (featuring watercolours, pen and ink drawings, pastel and charcoal sketches, travel diary entries) measuring approximately 8 x 10" to 10.5 x 14". These sketchbooks document Rose Malerby's travels to Prince Rupert via ferry and from there to the Yukon with friends in a Volkswagon bus. Malerby captured landscapes, townscapes, harbour scenes, flora, people, architecture and artifacts, and noted weather conditions, gas costs, where they stopped to eat and places they stayed along the way.

Fonds consists of records relating to Larry Gambone's activities as a student activist at SFU from 1967-1970 and his subsequent participation in Vancouver and BC counter-culture and anarchist movements. Records include Gambone's correspondence, notebooks and published writings; materials relating to various BC branches of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) in which Gambone participated; his collection of anarchist and radical political literature (periodicals, pamphlets, posters); and copies of works issued by his publishing house, the Red Lion Press.

Facilities Management Department fonds
The Facilities Management fonds consists of records created and received in the course of the administration of the Department and the carrying out of its functions, which changed over time. The original responsibilities of the department included building the physical plant of the University, maintaining buildings and grounds, and providing support services such as food, traffic control, and security. Later, its functions were narrowed to the construction and maintenance of the physical plant and grounds.
The activities documented include policy and procedures development; the planning, construction and maintenance of the University's physical plant and grounds, including land acquisition and liaison with outside consultants and bodies; and the planning and delivery of services to the University, including water and power, traffic, security, fire prevention, purchasing, bookstore operations, central stores, mail, and food. The types of documents include meeting agenda and minutes, certificates, contracts, correspondence, copies of deeds, legal releases, lists, maps, memoranda, architectural plans, reports, and design specification books.

Fonds consists of records made or received by Michael Fellman's in the course of activities relating to his teaching activity, research, scholarship, journalism, as well as his family and personal relationships. Records include correspondence, photographs, research notes, working papers, and teaching materials; offprints, lectures, and copies of newspaper articles authored by Fellman; and draft manuscripts of Fellman's published books, as well as two unpublished book projects – a study of "individuals fallen from respectability" in Victoria England (Uneminent Victorians), and a novel of the US Civil War (Dirty Civil War).

Fonds consists of correspondence, manuscripts, notes, articles, and promotional materials created or accumulated by Robert Bringhurst over the course of his career as a typographer and writer. The majority of records were created in 2000 or later, as the donor had also donated records to Library and Archives Canada in the past.
The records include manuscripts of several of his major publications, as well as draft versions and speaking notes for many essays written and talks delivered throughout his career. Also included is correspondence with friends, publishers, and colleagues, translated editions of many of his books, and promotional materials such as posters and brochures for many conferences, festivals, and other events Bringhurst participated in. The fonds also contains some personal records, including birth, marriage, and death certificates from his immediate family. A timeline of major life events and activities has been included by the donor.

The fonds consists of records made or received by the Office of the Vice-President, Academic in the course of its activities. Fonds consists of predominantly of media works (photographs, moving images, sound recordings, graphic materials) created by LIDC and its predecessors. Records were created in the course of the department's work to provide media and technical support for university teaching and research; support instruction in the development of innovative teaching methods; produce publications to communicate and promote SFU and its programs; and create an audio-visual record of campus events and activities.
