Chaplaincy

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of the Chaplaincy on campus and includes Dean's correspondence with religious representatives on and off campus; planning for the "Festival of Religion and the Arts" hosted by the Chaplaincy Office; chaplaincy denomination statistics; and an interview between the Acting Chairman of the Chaplaincy and the Peak. Records include correspondence and working papers, reports, news releases, and statistics.

Reading and Study Services

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of Reading and Study Services and includes Dean's correspondence with Reading and Study Services staff and the university community; program schedules and evaluation reports; student assessment forms; budgets, and development of the Business and Professional Program. Documentation includes the reports "Outline of a Proposed Reading Instruction Program for Practicing Teachers" and "Development Plan for Classroom reading Instruction Course." Records include correspondence and working papers, reports, financial statements, and news releases.

Daycare

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the establishment and administration of a Daycare on campus and includes correspondence regarding a brief prepared by the Students' Council Day Nursery Committee, a proposal for the operation of a campus day care centre by the Simon Fraser Co-operative Family, and insurance coverage for the child care centre. Records include correspondence, an agenda, legal papers and a report.

Health Services

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of Health Services and includes Dean's correspondence with Health Services staff, the university community, and the Medical Services Commission; student insurance and medical plans; office space and project proposals; budget and policy development; and procedures for medical forms and examinations. Also included are the reports "University Health Services Report" and "Summary of Mental Health Survey: SFU to Date." Records include correspondence and working papers, agendas and minutes, annual reports, statistics, and financial statements.

Residences and Housing

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of Residences and Housing and includes Dean's correspondence with the Residence Coordinator and campus residents regarding play areas for children, parking, food services, and housing repairs; student rental inquiries; housing and transportation surveys; fee and rental agreements; and research into off-campus student housing. Also documented are the minutes of the Board of Governors Special Housing Committee, the Residence Committee, the Tenants' Association, the Residence Planning and Policy Committee, and the President's Committee of University Residences. Records include correspondence and working papers, agendas and minutes, reports, and financial statements.

Counselling Services

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of Counselling Services and includes Dean's correspondence with Counselling personnel and the university community; development of policies and procedures; minutes from staff meetings; and budget planning. Work Study Program

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Work Study Program and includes correspondence with the university community, student participants, the provincial government and AUCE 2; student concerns regarding the program; project applications; salary policy and procedures; a copy of the 1982/1983 Statement of Agreement; the 1982/1983 Work-Study Manual; project reports; and budget papers. Records include correspondence and working papers, financial statements, and newspaper articles.

Financial Aid

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of the Financial Aid Office on campus and includes correspondence with students, clubs, and government organizations regarding funding, staff positions and program development; budgets, policies and procedures; adjudication documents regarding scholarships, awards, bursaries and emergency loans to students; and reports from the Senate Committee on Scholarships, Awards and Bursaries and the University Review Committee on Financial Aid. Records include correspondence and working papers, financial statements, statistics, reports, and newspaper clippings.

Youth Employment Program

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Youth Employment Program on campus and includes correspondence with the university community, student participants, AUCE 2, and the provincial government; agendas and reports prepared for the Student Employment Program review meeting; policies and procedures; program applications, adjudication statistics, and funding documents. Also included are records relating to development of the Enterprise Centre, a permanent student employment service on campus. Records include correspondence and working papers, reports, and financial statements and statistics.

Reading and Study Centre

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of the Reading and Study Centre and establishment of the Study Skills Service after the Centre was closed. Records include program and workshop planning; budget and fee proposals; advertising in SFU Week and The Peak; development of the ESL and evening English language programs; correspondence with the university community; staff contracts; and a copy of the document "Report of the External Review Committee on the Reading and Study Centre at SFU." Sexual Harassment

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration and development of sexual harassment policies and women's safety programs on campus and includes correspondence with the campus community; funding requests; minutes of the Sexual/Physical Assault Committee, the Sexual Harassment Committee and the Sexual Harassment Policy Committee; campus incident reports; university responsibilities regarding sexual harassment; sexual harassment policies; and newspaper articles. Records include correspondence and working papers, agendas and minutes, reports, and publications.

University Centre Building and Food Services

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the University Centre Building and food services on campus and includes leasing and vendor contracts; a copy of the contract between the university and the student society regarding funding for the University Centre Building; budgets; correspondence with the university community; insurance reports; licensing policies and procedures; service hours and renovation proposals; and catering menus. Records include correspondence and working papers, financial statements, contracts and legal documentation, and publications.

Diamond Club Executive

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to Bill Stewart's participation on the Board of Directors for the Jack and Sadie Diamond University Club at Simon Fraser University and includes correspondence with board members and the university community; AGM agendas and meeting minutes from the Board of Directors and House Committee; balance sheets and budget planning; pricing proposals; Treasurer's reports; membership policies and a members questionnaire. Canada Employment Centre

Leadership Development Program

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Leadership Development Program and includes workshop and retreat planning documents and photos; correspondence with student leaders and members of the university community; program interviews, evaluations and reports; a Student Leader Handbook; copies of "Leader's Digest" and "Class Quarterly" newsletters; minutes of the Recruiting Committee; organization documents about SPLASH conferences; and draft budgets. Alcohol and Drug Program

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Alcohol and Drug Program on campus and includes correspondence with members of the university community and external organizations regarding alcohol and drug issues; drug and alcohol information pamphlets; polices and procedures regarding alcohol management on campus; minutes from the Alcohol/Security and Alcohol Policy Committees; security reports regarding alcohol and drug offenses on campus; and Bill Stewart's documents as a member of the Advocacy Committee with the Alcohol-Drug Education Service of Vancouver.
