The fonds consists of records relating to the life of W.A.C. Bennett. Documented are his personal life, business ventures, community service, club affiliations, and political activities, including his terms as Member of the Legislative Assembly for South Okanagan, and as Premier of British Columbia.

Personal records consist of early correspondence and household records, as well as material which documents W.A.C. Bennett's association with freemasonry and his fundraising activities with organizations such as the Salvation Army.

Business records consist of material relating to Bennett Hardware, Bennett’s Stores, and Calona Wines.

Political records refer to Bennett's tenure as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for South Okanagan, as Premier and as leader of the Opposition. Also relevant are records referring to the passage of a number of Municipal Acts and Bennett’s relationship with Federal politics.

The fonds consists of research material acquired by Peter Poole in the course of preparing his thesis and an earlier essay on the solidarity movement. The fonds includes taped interviews of trade union leaders, solidarity movement leaders, community activists, and legal counsel. Twenty-six of the interviews are transcribed. The fonds also includes newspapers and newsclippings, essays, publications, flyers, research notes, ephemera, a chronology of the solidarity movement, and a copy of Peter Poole's thesis.

Fonds consists of scrapbooks, containing newspaper clippings, press releases, campaign materials, minutes, correspondence, programs and song lyrics, created by Gargrave while he was an MLA in Mackenzie, and when he ran for Mayor of Vancouver in 1970 as a representative of the NDP civic party.

Cooper regarding prison guards; conduct of convicts; matrons; absence of acting deputy warden; and the appointment of Major Poirier to Temporary Deputy Wardenship. Other correspondence includes a letter from Superintendent D. M. Ormond to Major I. A. Poirier regarding his transfer to the Deputy Wardenship of Piers Island Penitentiary; and a letter to a prisoner from his sister regarding the well-being of his children and lack of sufficient funds for their care. File also contains three memos; one telegram regarding the purchase of water tanks; as well as a list of construction costs.

Series consists of various photographs collected by Betty Krawczyk. Series includes photographic prints of various sizes that document Krawczyk’s activities in community organizations, protests, prison, and her family. Some photographs have corresponding handwritten notes attached to them.

Collection consists of digital copies of a complete run of The Pedestal, a feminist periodical published by the Vancouver Women's Caucus and edited by the Pedestal collective. The periodical referred to itself as a women's liberation newspaper and later as a lesbian-feminist newspaper; it published non-fiction, personal stories, poetry, reviews, letters to the editor, news of the women's movement, informational resources, a dream page and a calendar of events. It was distributed to individual subscribers, women's groups and sold by members at demonstrations and political events, and was available at bookstores and other locations around Vancouver. The Pedestal engaged in debates with members and readers over homosexuality, socialism and relationships with men, and addressed political issues such as abortion, childcare, education, anti-imperialism and patriarchy.

Volume VI, Numbers 3 and 4 were published under the title Women Can.

Fonds is comprised of research material gathered by David Mitchell for his book, W.A.C. Bennett and the Rise of British Columbia and records generated in the process of completing work on the book. The research material concentrates on Bennett's life as a political figure, the rise of the Social Credit Party, and political issues dealt with by the Bennett government.

It includes a mix of interviews with Bennett and other important political figures of his era, articles, clippings, government documents, Social Credit Party papers, copies of Bennett's personal papers, Mitchell's notes and rough drafts, academic papers, graphic material, and correspondence.

Collection consists of records and publications collected by James W. Wilson concerning the work of the Lower Mainland Regional Planning Board. Also includes materials about the resettlement project that B.C. Hydro carried out during the Columbia River Project. Includes personal memoirs written by Dr. Wilson as well as annual reports, minutes, newsletters, essays, correspondence, notes, books, surveys, newspaper clippings, and photographs.
