General note

Donor Reference #: 1980-2-28
Donor Additional Notes: Correspondence between Ruth and Sally Banes and Amanda Deneger of the Bennington College Project. It sounds as if Ruth was interviewed in NYC on June 11 (exact date is from Sally Banes book, Democracy's Body.) The output of this project was considerable: (a) An exhibit of pictures first at Bennington and later in NYC. Catalog dated 1981 (see file). (b) An article by Sally Banes, ""A Concert of Dances" at Judson Church", published in Dance Chronicle (RW has reprint). (c) Dally Banes, Democracy's Body: Judson Dance Theatre 1962-1964 (UMI Research Press, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 1983), based, I think, on her thesis.
