Scope and content

The staff from the former Georgia Striaght in 1972 created the Georgia Grape (no. 1 Jan. 20-27, 1972) a new free press paper as counter point to the Georgia Straight. For a list of contributing members, see page 6 of Jan 20-27, 1972 issue of the Georgia Grape. The staff members set up the Georgia Grape on account they were not happy with management and business of the Georgia Straight. Copies include: no. 1 Jan. 20-27, 1972, no.8 Mar. 8-15, 1972 and no. 10 March 22-9, 1972.The Georgia Grape is a collective newspaper representing free press.
