General note
A note on the front of the file reads as follows: “These poems later appeared in Day’s book ‘The Cowichan,’ the only other collection of ‘modern’ logging poetry besides my own. Day and I planned to put together an anthology of woods poems but this never came to pass. Day moved to England where he became well-known for ‘The Tolkein Bestiary’ and other books.”
