Series consists of photographs documenting Al Neil’s family, wartime experiences, wedding to Marguerite Neil, cabin at Dollarton, public performances, exhibitions and artworks.

This series consists of prints (some mounted), negatives and slides - both professional and amateur shots - of various performances and rehearsals. Some artistic photo shoots are also included. In many instances exact dates are not known but a general guess by the donor is provided.

This series consists of The Makortoff family collection of 136 photographic images. Some of the photographic images in this collection are in the form of postcards. The images depict Makortoff family members as well as various individuals related to the family at various social functions. Often, individuals or groups were photographed in the garden, in the fields or in front of the farm dwellings. There are photographs depicting transportation modes of the time period including horse carts and automobiles.

Photographs

This series contains black and white as well as partly hand-colored photographs from various periods of P. P. Verigin’s life starting from around 1880s until his death and funeral in 1939. In specific, this series contains photographs of Verigin mainly with his family and with close friends. There are several photographs from his funeral as well as P. P. Verigin vising his father’s tomb. There are several composite photographs containing images that pre-date the composites in some cases by a couple of decades.

Photographs and moving images

Series consists of nine photographs of the same Occupy Vancouver group of activists taken from different angles and one photograph of a single protester. It also includes eighteen digital videos and fifty digital photographs taken on October 15, 2011 by Sue Wilson with images related to the Raging Grannies, activists’ activities, policemen, posters and media.

Photographs and related materials

Series consists of various photographs collected by Betty Krawczyk. Series includes photographic prints of various sizes that document Krawczyk’s activities in community organizations, protests, prison, and her family. Some photographs have corresponding handwritten notes attached to them.

Photographs from Sorokin visit

This series contains photograph negatives from Sorokin's first visit to British Columbia. The images contain community events celebrating Sorokin's visit, small and large groupings of community members, view of villages, forest, garden and fields, nude individuals protesting, etc. Many of the negatives in this series may have a few variation of the same image amounting to around of 100 unique images.

Series documents Stanley’s interactions with friends from different literary circles, including: Beat Movement, Jack Spicer Circle, San Francisco Renaissance, writers associated with TISH magazine and other parts of the Vancouver arts scene.

Pie Tree Press publications and related material

Series consists of material related to publications issued by Pie Tree Press, including books, prints, and broadsides. Includes material relating to Rimmer’s work on an abandoned book entitled “Fred Goudy, Type Designer,” and the development and publication of A Christmas Carol, Shadow River: the Selected and Illustrated Poems of Pauline Johnson, Leaves from the Pie Tree and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, as well as various Wayzgoose publications. Types of material in this series include drafts, mock-ups, proofs, prints, drawings, illustrations, pamphlets, booklets, broadsides, linocuts, and master patterns.

Poetry – draft poems

Series consists of draft versions of published and unpublished poems by Trower, as well as drafts of poems written in collaboration with other poets.

Poetry – published book records

Series consists of material relating to the developments, publication and promotion of Peter Trower’s published books of poetry. Includes edited and unedited manuscripts, outlines, correspondence, editorial comments, introductions by other authors, galley proofs, illustrations and photographs, and promotional material.

Series has been arranged into nine sub-series according to book: Poems for a dark Sunday records (1964-1969), Ragged horizons records (1976-1977), Bush poems records ([ca. 1978]), Unmarked doorways records (1989), Hitting the bricks records (1997), Chainsaws in the cathedral records (1998), A ship called Destiny records ([ca. 1999]-2000), There are many ways records (1961-2002), and Haunted hills and hanging valleys records (2002-2004).

Poetry – published poems

Series consists of copies of published poems by Peter Trower. Record types include newspaper and magazine clippings, photocopies, broadsheets, and an optical disc.

Poetry – unpublished book records

Series consists of material relating to unpublished collections of Peter Trower’s poetry. Includes an edited manuscript for a proposed book entitled "The Gathering: Poems New and Revised," initial and final selections of poems for a proposed book entitled "Through the Apricot Air: Selected poems 1969-2002," poems drafts and selections of a proposed book entitled "Smeltertown and Other Poems" (or, alternately, "Smeltertown and Points South"), and an aborted logging poetry anthology to be co-edited with David Day.

Series consists of drafts, sample pages, unpublished and published literary works by Pierre Coupey and other writers/poets, advertisements, ephemera, an early Pierre Coupey CV, reading engagement information, publication outline and forms for the West Coast Poetry and Poetics Anthology project, invitations, newspaper clippings, postcards, type written, email and hand written correspondence and an audio cassette.

This series is divided into 5 sub-series: 1: Poetry ([ca. 1957-2012]); 2: Poetry publications - general (1960-1979); 3: Poetry publications - "West Coast Poetry & Poetics Anthology" ( 1970-1980); 4: Literary works by other authors (1960-2012); 5: Research for literary works ([198-?-2011])

Poetry readings and other performance records

Series consists of textual, visual, and audio materials related to poetry readings and performances of materials written by Blaser as well as other individuals. The series is divided into the following five sub-series: Readings and performances by Blaser records; Promotional materials for readings and performances by Blaser; Audio and video recordings of readings and performances by Blaser; Audio and video recordings of readings and performances of others; and The Last Supper (opera) related records.

Political records

Series consists of photographs, publicity, correspondence, electoral results, notes, newspaper clippings, policy documents and pay statements from Doris French Shackleton’s work as CCYM organizer, her two failed runs for the federal NDP, and her time as Councillor of the Township of Gloucestor.

This series consists 4 posters related to the McGauley’s research on the Doukhobors. Most posters are not dated, but there were created most likely in late twentieth century.

This sub-series contains 12 campaign posters, leadership posters and party logo banners, and 1 map of British Columbia electoral districts used in 1986 provincial election campaign. The campaign posters feature: Bill Vander Zalm, Bill Bennett, Rita Johnson and Nick Loenen. The Leader’s posters were used both at constituency association events, and also showed prominently in the campaign office. Party logo banners were used at constituency association events and other party gatherings and the campaign office.

Post-war Vancouver

This series is comprised of material associated with Ajaib’s life after World War II as he developed a successful business and started a family. Most of the images in this series come from a family album and are centered around Ajaib’s marriage to Nirmal and the early years of their marriage. Most of the material from later in his life is in the form of correspondence and other records. Also included are some memorabilia items and ephemera that illustrate how Ajaib and Nirmal enjoyed their free time (concerts, theatre shows, trips, etc.).
The series is divided into 2 sub-series: Photographs and Textual records.

Series consists of newspaper clippings of advertisements, announcements, articles and letters to the editor documenting the activities of and publicity received by Duthie Books Ltd., including those addressing the subject of Duthie Books' bankruptcy and financial restructuring.

Series consists of records relating to the physical production of books and broadsides. Activities documented include book design, proof-reading, and printing. Records include correspondence, contracts and agreements, mock-ups, photographs, negatives, and purchase orders.

Series consists of records relating to Daphne Marlatt's professional activities, including readings, events, conferences, festivals, tours, and workshops. Records include drafts of writings, correspondence, administrative records, newspaper clippings, and photographs.

Series consists of records accumulated during Doris French Shackleton’s involvement with professional writing organizations and associations, including Public Lending Right, CanCopy, The Writers Union of Canada, and the Federation of BC Writers.
