This file consists of very early and important letters and telegrams received and send by J. J. Verigin that relate to the recovery and reorganization of the Doukhobors in the tumult following Peter P. Verigin’s death, bankruptcy of the CCUB, and further fragmentation of the Doukhobors during the war. Some early letters are written to or received from N. Arishenkoff (Arishenkov). Other senders and recipients include J. B. Cowell, the Christian Community and Brotherhood of the Reformed Doukhobors (CCBRD), Joe Clark (Minister of External Affairs Canada). The majority of documents are handwritten in Russian, except for a couple of printed documents in English.
