The Simon Fraser Public Interest Group (SFPIRG) was established in 1981 as part of a movement of PIRGs established at universities across North America to advocate for social change. SFPIRG's mission is to engage students in social and environmental justice. Areas of work include education, action, research and community. SFPIRG is funded through student fees, is non-partisan, and is a registered non-profit organization. The collection consists of publications of the organization, including their newsletter Antithesis, and a number of special topic brochures, booklets, and leaflets.

Fonds consists of records made or received by Out On Campus in the course of carrying out its functions and programs. Activities documented include provision of facilities, resources and referral services; meetings of the Out On Campus Collective and various subcommittees; correspondence and liaison with other individuals and groups; funding, budget planning, and management of its financial resources; planning and organization of projects, programs, and events; and training and management of volunteers. Records include minutes and meeting support papers, correspondence, promotional material such as posters, brochures, and banners, photographs and photo albums, and videocassettes.

Scan of pages in album are available, and from the latter half of the album are printed and included in the box.

Sub-sub-series consists of minutes, agendas, and other relevant planning files to Out On Campus and Rotunda retreats. Retreats were a way for members involved in Rotunda groups, or individually of the Out On Campus Collective, to reflect on and celebrate the previous year and plan for the next one.
