Course records

Sub-series consists of records relating to specific courses taught by Wah. Records are primarily related to his work at the University of Calgary, though one file contains records relating to a course given at the University of Regina. Records include course syllabi and assignments, course readings, enrolment records, and student work.

Cross-cultural poetics Oct/1997

File consists of records relating to the Cross-Cultural Poetics Conference, held at the University of Minnesota, October 16-19, 1997. Records include conference schedule and promotion materials, mailing list of registered participants, and the text of Joe Amato’s conference presentation, correspondence and drafts of Wah’s presentation, entitled, “Speaking My Language: Racing the Lyric Poetic.”

Crowsnest

File consists of correspondence, event programmes, and administrative materials relating to the Crowsnest Pass Writers Retreat and Workshop, held in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, June 1-6, 1993.

File consists of correspondence and administrative records relating to Dandelion Magazine and the Dandelion Magazine Society. Dandelion Magazine was a Canadian magazine that published literature and art from 1975 to 2011. Wah served on its editorial board.

Daniel Canty

File consists of French translations of Wah’s poems by Canty, as well as correspondence and a receipt relating to this translation work.

[Daphne] Marlatt [Roy] Miki

File consists of correspondence and travel documents relating to Daphne Marlatt and Roy Miki’s trip to the University of Calgary in March 1998 to participate in a panel about Roy Kiyooka.

File consists of correspondence and other materials relating to the 2013 Denman Island Readers and Writers Festival.

Derksen

File consists of Jeff Derksen’s review of Wah’s “Breathin’ my name with a sigh,” an accompanying letter to Pauline [Butling], and a copy of Derksen’s thesis.
