University matters - correspondence

Series consists of records relating to the Vice-President, Academic's interactions with the President, other SFU Vice-Presidents, and the administrative departments that reported to them, as well as correspondence relating to university-wide matters in general. Activities and topics documented include liaison with the federal and provincial governments, budget planning, tuition fees, university reorganization, legal advice, liaison with other senior administrators and other university administrative departments, and relations with non-faculty union and employee associations. University Computing Advisory Committee

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the deliberations and activities of the University Computing Advisory Committee (UCAC). UCAC reported to the VP Research. The VP Academic was a member of the committee, and the records in this sub-sub-series represent VP Academic's working files and copies of UCAC records.

University committees and task forces

Sub-series consists of records relating to the activities of various university committees and task forces. It is not always possible to determine whether the records represent the VP Academic's working file as a committee member or rather correspondence between the VP and the committee. Records include correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, policies, and legal advice.

University Committees

Sub-series consists of records relating to the Vice-President, Academic's involvement with the various university committees, both standing and ad hoc. The VP Academic's relation to particular committees may vary: the VP may be a member; or the senior administrator to which the committee reported; or a correspondent.
