Incoming correspondence

Sub-series consists of incoming correspondence to Blaser by family, friends, and colleagues. Material includes handwritten and typed correspondence as well as facsimile and email correspondence sent or forwarded to Blaser. Additional material includes enclosed contracts, poetry, and other textual material sent to Blaser.

Income tax

Sub-series consists of income tax return forms, tax assessments from National Revenue Service, lists of expenses and receipts for Skinner's writing career, and correspondence from Skinner's accountant and the National Revenue Service.

Sub-series consists of In His Image, a work composed by Mootoo sometime prior to the publication of her short story collection Out On Main Street. Mootoo may have drawn on In His Image when writing He Drown She in the Sea.

Immigration

This sub-series consists of records relating to the Doukhobor immigration and settlement in Canada as well as issues of citizenship.

Sub-series consists of the publications published by housepress from 1997 through 2004. Individual publications are listed in the attached pdf bibliography.

He Drown She in the Sea

Sub-series consists of drafts, manuscripts and final proofs for the novel published as He Drown She in the Sea in 2005. Working titles for this novel included Harry the Egg-Man; The Woman Who Gave Love Birds as a Present; Once, A Raleigh Man; The Summer of Rose; and The Servant’s Son. The many drafts in this sub-series show the progression from first writings to finished work.
The drafts also show that Mootoo worked on her novel in sections, assigning alpha-numeric designators to each section during the draft stages of the work (eg. 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 2C and so on).

Haunted hills and hanging valleys records

Sub-series consists of material relating to the development of Trower's 2004 book "Haunted Hills and Hanging Valleys."Includes several draft manuscripts, including the first selection of poems and the final draft, as well as correspondence between Trower and Harbour Publishing.

Sub-series consists of records relating to a proposed film adaptation of Peter Trower’s novel "Grogan’s Cafe." Includes several versions of the film’s screenplay, as well as correspondence with New City Productions Inc., the company interested in producing the film.

Green book

This sub-series consists of a compiled book containing correspondence, court documents, memos, and news items on the subject of two legal actions that took place in 1990 and 1991 as a result of the outcome of a challenge nomination meeting in Burnaby Edmonds riding. It is unique for historical purposed as it will give a detailed view of the circumstances and outcome of a rare and unusual political situation. Specifically, while there have been judicial recounts of election results in the past, court decisions on nomination meeting outcomes are very rare.
