Consists of a copy of the Western Gate Vol. 1 No. 2 March 1968. Pierre Coupey, Art Editor is listed on the Masthead along with other contributors on page 2. The file provides original drafts of the preparation, writing and editing process of column pieces by various contributors. In the file there is note from Dick Clements regarding the Belinsky Postcard, an exhibition review for the Mandan Ghetto exhibition, a writing piece by Howard Rafferty, "Nootka Sounds," concrete poetry "Language is my Medium Communication my Concern," by David W. Harris (aka Stones), a critical writing piece by William Burroughs, a column piece called the Postcard by PW Belinsky (aka Dick Clements), poetry by Gerry Gilbert, a review on the Vancouver Art Gallery, a column/review by Klaw (aka Rick Kitaeff) and an editorial piece by Milton Acorn. The Western Gate acted as the "bridge" for the Capilano Review.
