Poetry and creative writing

Series consists of drafts, sample pages, unpublished and published literary works by Pierre Coupey and other writers/poets, advertisements, ephemera, an early Pierre Coupey CV, reading engagement information, publication outline and forms for the West Coast Poetry and Poetics Anthology project, invitations, newspaper clippings, postcards, type written, email and hand written correspondence and an audio cassette.

This series is divided into 5 sub-series: 1: Poetry ([ca. 1957-2012]); 2: Poetry publications - general (1960-1979); 3: Poetry publications - "West Coast Poetry & Poetics Anthology" ( 1970-1980); 4: Literary works by other authors (1960-2012); 5: Research for literary works ([198-?-2011])

“A Flag for Canada” – Rick Archbold

This series is comprised of records related to the revision of “I Stand for Canada” into an edition titled “A Flag for Canada: the Illustrated Biography of the Maple Leaf Flag”, published in 2008.
The series is divided into the following 5 sub-series: Drafts, proofs and edits (2007-2008), Agreements and contracts (2003-2012), Project development and correspondence (2002-2010), Post-production, promotions, and reviews (2006-2015), and Image copyright requests and agreements (2002-2008).

Series consists of records generated from Beaulieu’s work as an author, editor, academic and teacher. Records include research, correspondence, contracts, proofs at various stages of production, drafts, transcriptions and publications. Series is arranged into the following sub-series: Poetry and book files (1996–2014); Article files (1998–[before 2015]); Academic research and writings (1991–2014); Writings by students (2008–2015); Writings by others (2005–2013) and Handmade books ([before 2009]).

Scholarly work

Series consists of records related to Karasick’s research and scholarly work. Records include research notes, drafts, completed essays and some correspondence. The series is divided into subseries: PhD thesis, essays and pechakuchas, and conference presentations.

Writing

Series contains material relating to Culley's poetry, books, and essays. Includes handwritten, typed, and word-processed notes and drafts of works; some annotated; page proofs and other materials relating to the creation and publication process of Culley's works; published work; recordings of talks given; and includes correspondence. The series has been divided into several sub-series, which were created based on form. The subseries are: Notebooks; Notes and drafts; Typescripts and page proofs; Talks; and Publications.

Series consists of souveniers of travel, memorabilia, library check-out lists, receipts, report cards, and school work.

Drawing the line records

Series consists of records created and accumulated by the Kiss and Tell collective during the production, exhibition, and promotion of the photographic exhibition “Drawing the Line” and the book “Drawing the Line: Lesbian Sexual Politics on the Wall.” Records include photographs, correspondence, exhibition specifications and guidelines, promotional and press materials, and articles. Photographs include not only those 98 images ultimately selected for use the “Drawing the Line” exhibition, but also many more photographs taken by Stewart in the process of creating the artwork, as well as photographs of the exhibition itself.

Commissions or consultations

Series consists of records and photographs relating to Judith Marcuse commissions for dancers or companies that did not involve Judith Marcuse Dance Company.

Writing

Series contains material relating to Karasick’s works of poetry. Includes handwritten and word-processed notes and drafts of works, some annotated; page proofs and other materials relating to the research, creation and publication process of Karasick’s works; published work; photographs; notebooks and some correspondence. The series is divided into several subseries, based on title. Notebooks form a separate subseries.

Series consists of posters, flyers, leaflets, and trade publications.

Correspondence

Series contains letters and printouts of emails from friends, family members, professors, colleagues, universities, and funding organizations. Included are cards, postcards, notes, photographs, and outgoing draft correspondence. Series is divided into 2 subseries: Personal correspondence and Professional correspondence.

Photographs

Series consists of photographs of Peter Trower, his partner Yvonne Klan, and their family, friends and other acquaintances. Photographs relate to Trower’s writing, musical and personal activities, his childhood in England and Canada, and his family life. Series includes many photographs of Trower with writer and publisher friends, giving readings, attending literary events, awards ceremonies, and book signings and performing with former bandmates Mike Dunn and Ken Dagliesh, Industrial Accident and the Caulk Boots and Marlin Spikes production. Also included are photographs taken during the filming of the documentary "Between the Sky and the Splinters" in 1976, photographs of Trower’s travels with Yvonne, his various residences, publicity shots for book covers, and photographs from his seventieth birthday party in 2000. Fellow writers appearing in photographs include Earle Birney, Trevor Carolan, Jim Christy, Lorna Crozier, Jamie Mandelkau, John Moore, Cath Morris, Mary Nichol, Stuart Nutter, Richard Olafson, Malcolm Parry, George Payerle, Joe Perone, Ted Poole, Greg Potter, Al Purdy, Robin Skelton, Carol Skoloff, Godfrey Stephens, Alan Twigg, Howard White, and Carolyn Zenailo.

Correspondence

Series consists of emailed and hand-written correspondence between Derek Beaulieu and his personal and professional contacts. Also includes related records, including signed contracts, employment agreements, grant applications, award submissions and letters of recommendation, postcards, clippings, ephemera and photographs.

Promotional records

Series consists of posters, flyers, handbills, ephemera, promotional objects, t-shirts and bags, and other material publicizing art and literary readings, conferences or other projects Beaulieu was part of or contributed to. The series also includes newspaper clippings of reviews, articles written by Beaulieu and articles featuring Beaulieu and his work.

Promo

Series contains interviews with Adeena Karasick; reviews of her works; posters, flyers, leaflets and other promotional ephemera; promotional packages; tour itineraries; and promotional material gathered to support Adeena Karasick’s application for a green card in the United States of America.

Personal records

Series consists of records relating to Marlatt's personal activities, including some works of others and responses to her writings. Records include correspondence, writings, land title documents, photographs, newspaper clippings, and brochures.

USCC Records

This series consists of records relating to the USCC as organization and Eli A. Popoff’s role in the organization from personal perspective and as a member of the Executive Committee of the USCC. This series contains various records, including administrative, correspondence, conferences, committees, symposiums, conventions, cultural and events records.

Business and financial records

Series consists of records relating to Peter Trower’s business and financial interests. Includes several copies of Trower’s curriculum vitae, contracts and agreements, correspondence, royalty statements, mortgage records, and invoices.

Teaching records

Series consists of records relating to Marlatt's work as an instructor of writing and literature at various institutions. Records include articles, correspondence, administrative records, posters, student evaluations, lecture notes, syllabi, and other course material.

Series has been arranged into the following eight sub-series: Administrative records (1991-2009), Creative writing course development records (1989-2007), "Mother-daughter relationships" course development records ([ca. 1993-1999]), "Four modernist women" course development records (1993-1996), "Tradition and modernity" course development records (1976-1993), Women's studies course development records (1986-1996), Sage Hill Poetry Colloquium development records (1998-2010), and General course development records (1973-2007).

Personal and professional correspondence

Series consists of correspondence created or received by Marlatt for personal and professional purposes. The correspondence is with family, friends, and professional colleagues, as well as political authorities on a variety of issues important to Marlatt. Series contains audio and audio-visual recordings featuring Adeena Karasick, including interviews, poetry readings and performances, academic pechakuchas, videopoems, and digital photographs.
