The records in this series have been arranged into the following three sub-series: Diamond grill records, Faking it records, and General records.

Diamond grill records

This series consists of records such as writing drafts, notes, and research records relating to the book "Diamond Grill," published by NeWest Press in 1996. The book is a semi-fictional biography recounting Wah's childhood experiences.

File consists of research materials relating to Chinese immigration, Chinese culture, crime, and gambling. Includes an essay by David R. Williams, along with related correspondence from Williams, about the case of Earnest Chenoweth, an eight year old boy was tried for murdering a Chinese cook who was working at their home in 1900.
