The series has been divided into several sub-series, which were created based on form. Correspondence

Series contains letters and printouts of emails from various editors, publishers, grants, universities, colleges, friends, fans, and colleagues. Included are broadsides, cards, postcards, notes, invoices, as well as other personal and professional correspondence.

Books

Series consists of a list of books that were donated as part of the IMAG fonds. These books have been catalogued and are stored according to their call numbers.

Photographs

Series consists of photographs, negatives and contact sheets of IMAG events, including the annual film and video festival opening ceremonies, honouring ceremonies, panels, youth programs, and other events, the traveling film and video festivals, IMAG workshops such as the Randy Redroad workshop, and training programs, such as the Healing Hands training program.

IMAG administrative records

Series consists of documents related to the day-to-day administration of IMAG, including by-laws, contracts, board meeting agendas and minutes, correspondence, budgets, insurance policies, financial statements, audited financial statements, grant applications, pamphlets, posters, brochures, advertising ephemera, newspaper clippings, and other documents.

Traveling film festival

Series consists of records relating to obtaining funding for the traveling film and video festivals, including grant proposals, budgets and correspondence. Series also contains information related to the organization and administration of the traveling film festivals.

IMAGeNation Film Festival

Series consists of documents related to the organization, funding, promotion, administration and hosting of the annual Aboriginal Film and Video festival in Vancouver, from 1998-2007. The series is divided into the follow sub-series: Festival administration; Grant applications and related correspondence; Publicity and promotional materials; Festival submissions, Panels, and Awards.

The series contains records related to the regular business practices of the company and anything relevant to more than one publishing project. "The Wild Ride" - Charles Wilkins

This series is comprised of records related to the conception and publication of the book “The Wild Ride: A History of the North West Mounted Police 1873-1904” published in 2010.

"Waterfront" - James Delgado

This series is comprised of records related to the conception and publication of the book “Waterfront: the Illustrated Maritime Story of Greater Vancouver” published in 2005. In 2006, “Waterfront” shared the BC Book Prize for Booksellers’ Choice award.

This series is comprised of records related to the conception and publication of the book “I Stand for Canada: the Story of the Maple Leaf Flag”, published in 2002.
The series is divided into the following 7 sub-series: Drafts, proofs and edits (2001-2003), Agreements and contracts (1998-2002), Project development and correspondence (2000-2002), Post-production, promotions, and reviews (2002-2009), Image copyright requests and agreements (2002), Images collected for use in "I Stand for Canada" (2002), and Research conducted for "I Stand for Canada" (2002).

Video recordings

This series consists of multiple video cassettes in various formats, as well as 2 DVD’s. Some of the same recordings – especially speeches and produced content - exist across multiple formats.

Textual records

This series consists of mainly correspondence and transcripts of interviews. Also included is a project proposal to continue the film-making process of a project that was interrupted by the death of Jon Gates in 1992.

Photographs from Sorokin visit

This series contains photograph negatives from Sorokin's first visit to British Columbia. The images contain community events celebrating Sorokin's visit, small and large groupings of community members, view of villages, forest, garden and fields, nude individuals protesting, etc. Many of the negatives in this series may have a few variation of the same image amounting to around of 100 unique images.

Audio-visual records

This series consists of audio-visual recordings of performances of Krestova Youth Choir during the EXPO 1986 as well as audio recordings of singing and Sorokin’s speeches during his visit to the Doukhobor villages in British Columbia in 1954.

General records

This series consists of general records relating to the Stephen Sorokin, the CCBRD and Sons of Freedom including clippings, issues of publications, forms and applications, scrapbook with photographs and maps, ship manifests and notes. Many of the records in this series relate to the potential Doukhobor emigration to South America.
Some records are in Spanish.

Personal records

This series consists of personal records of Stephan Sorokin including identity documents issues by various governments of countries where Sorokin lived in or traveled through, such like Germany, Yugoslavia, Iran, Palestine, Canada, Uruguay and Bolivia. Most of these identity documents contain portrait photographs of Sorokin. This series also includes some correspondence and other related documents.

Writings

This series consists of various writings of Stephan Sorokin, including essays, notes, and a draft of his book written under the pseudonym Pantes Kiroson and titled: Three days and three nights of life beyond the grave. This series also includes Sorokin’s spiritual messages to the Reformed Doukhobor and the Sons of Freedom.
