It also speaks about the lives and legacies of those connected to Goodwin, and provides information about living and working conditions in the town where Goodwin had lived. Sub-series consists of records relating to "At the River's Mouth: Writing Migrations," a lecture given by Daphne Marlatt as the Ralph Gustafson Distinguished Visiting Poet at Vancouver Island University. The lecture was later published as a book (designed by Robert Bringhurst) by the Institute for Coastal Research at Vancouver Island University. Records include correspondence and lecture drafts.

The opera was affiliated with the Pro Musica Society of Vancouver's Further East Further West Series, as well as the City of Vancouver's 125th Anniversary Celebration. "Shadow Catch" ran from December 2-4, 2011 at the Firehall Arts Centre in Vancouver. Records include draft scripts, correspondence, articles, musical scores, photographs, programs, and advertisements.

The play is a dramatization of the historical link between the fishing town of Steveston, home to many Japanese-Canadians, and Mio, the coastal village in Wakayama, Japan, from which many of their ancestors originally emigrated. Records include manuscripts, permissions, correspondence, musical scores, research material, photographs, books, articles, promotional material, programs and related production material. Also includes two optical discs, one of which contains sound files with transcriptions.
