Biographical history
Richard (Rick) Patton worked as a sound engineer for film and television for thirty-five years, much of it with the National Film Board of Canada. He made his own short films in the 1960s and 1970s, and worked with other underground film directors, notably Kenneth Anger. Patton got his first job in the movie industry as a camera assistant, and later formed the video and film production rental company Location Sound in Vancouver, B.C..
