File consists of a carbon paper copy of untitled typescript prose with handwritten editorial notes. The draft was contained in a manila envelope addressed to “The Andsteins” (Cliff Andstein and Gladys Hindmarch), as bears a return address from the Peak Publications Society at Simon Fraser University.

[Boat stories - drafts]

File consists of typescript drafts of various stories relating to the project then known as “Boat Stories.” Some of the drafts are reproductions of drafts from the 1960s, while others appear to be written later. The pages of these drafts contain page numbers, although several pages are missing. Stories included among these drafts include “You Wouldn’t Want to,” “Don’t Get Lost” (also known as Ucluelet), “The Coast I Like Best,” “Where They Are” (also known as “The Hall”), “A Single Scrambled” (also known as “Waking”), “Nothing is Simple” (also known as “Supper”), “Tulips,” “Something’s Going On” (also known as “Mustard”), “How it Feels” (also known as “Wales”), “Japan,” and “Doing Nothing is an Act Also.”
