Honors and awards records

Series consists of records related to Blaser’s appointment to the Order of Canada and winning the Griffin Award for Excellence in Poetry. Items include correspondence, agendas and schedules, event programs, posters, photographs and negatives, and a video recording of the Order of Canada ceremony that Blaser participated in.

Non-fiction works records

Series consists of records relating to non-fiction works written by Daphne Marlatt. Records include manuscripts, newspaper clippings, and photographs.

Series has been arranged into the following three sub-series: "Readings from the labyrinth" records (1981-1998), "At the river's mouth: writing migrations" records (2008), and Reviews of other writers (1975-2002).

Photographs

Series consists of photographs documenting Al Neil’s family, wartime experiences, wedding to Marguerite Neil, cabin at Dollarton, public performances, exhibitions and artworks.

This series is comprised mainly of newspaper clippings and reviews, press releases and press kits, posters and other promotional material related to performances of various JMP pieces.

Editorial files

Series consists of records generated from editorial work on chapbooks and issues of "filling Station" magazine. These include page proofs, edited submissions, commissioned artwork, writer’s guidelines, and production instructions.

Personal records and other biographical material

Series includes personal and biographical material, including Blaser’s birth certificate, records related to his honorary Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University, Blaser’s high school diploma, records related to his health towards the end of his life, records from his employment at San Francisco State University, handwritten personal notes and book lists, a handwritten will, Blaser’s curriculum vitae, and yearbooks from his high school and college years.

Correspondence of Robin Blaser

Series consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence with family, friends, and colleagues. Material includes handwritten and typed correspondence as well as facsimile and email correspondence of both a personal and professional nature. Additional material includes enclosed contracts, poetry, and other textual records. The series is divided into five sub-series: Incoming correspondence; Outgoing correspondence; Alphabetical correspondence; Chronological correspondence; and General correspondence.

The materials in this series consist of media clippings, programs, pamphlets, bookmarks and promotional posters.

Expedition records

Series consists of records relating to archaeological tourist expeditions, boat cruises and exploratory expeditions of shipwrecks, for which James Delgado served as a lecturer or expedition leader. Records include correspondence, brochures, reports, pamphlets, travel itineraries, and expedition reports.

Earth project

This series consists primarily of business records, particularly fundraising activities, and promotional materials associated with the conception, development and execution of the Earth Symposium (2004) and Festival (2005).

The series is comprised of the following sub-series: Sub-series 1: Administrative records (2001-2009); Sub-series 2: Financial records ([ca. 2002]-2006); Sub-series 3: Grants/fundraising records (2002-2009); Sub-series 4: Production/performance records (2002-2009): Sub-series 5: Promotional records (2001-2009).

Pie Tree Press publications and related material

Series consists of material related to publications issued by Pie Tree Press, including books, prints, and broadsides. Includes material relating to Rimmer’s work on an abandoned book entitled “Fred Goudy, Type Designer,” and the development and publication of A Christmas Carol, Shadow River: the Selected and Illustrated Poems of Pauline Johnson, Leaves from the Pie Tree and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, as well as various Wayzgoose publications. Types of material in this series include drafts, mock-ups, proofs, prints, drawings, illustrations, pamphlets, booklets, broadsides, linocuts, and master patterns.

Fire project

This series consists primarily of business records, particularly fundraising activities, and promotional materials associated with the conception, development and execution of the Fire Project, which consisted of workshops and touring performances.

The series is comprised of the following sub-series: Sub-series 1: Administrative records (1998-2009); Sub-series 2: Financial records (2001-2004); Sub-series 3: Grants/fundraising records (1998-2004); Sub-series 4: Production/performance records (1999-2003): Sub-series 5: Promotional records (1998-2003).

Cartoons and other artwork

Series consists of cartoons, drawings, sketch books, watercolours, illustrations, and prints by Peter Trower and by other artists.

Series has been arranged into the following two sub-series: Cartoons and other artwork by Peter Trower (1949 to 1983) and Artwork by other artists (1969-1998).

Poetry readings and other performance records

Series consists of textual, visual, and audio materials related to poetry readings and performances of materials written by Blaser as well as other individuals. The series is divided into the following five sub-series: Readings and performances by Blaser records; Promotional materials for readings and performances by Blaser; Audio and video recordings of readings and performances by Blaser; Audio and video recordings of readings and performances of others; and The Last Supper (opera) related records.

Records relating to individual British Columbia Provincial Police officers

Series consists of photographs and biographical information of British Columbia Provincial Police officers on and off duty as well as in retirement, and stories of their careers. Series includes some information relating to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, as many BCPP officers continued their careers with the RCMP when it took over responsibility for policing in British Columbia

Photographs

This series consists of photographs, slides and negatives of LaPierre’s personal and professional activities over more than 60 years. There is no order at all to any of the groups of images, they are primarily labelled according to the original bankers box they were received in.

Commercial work

Series consists of sample, draft and completed commercial work produced by Rimmer as a free-lance designer employed by various companies, organizations and individuals. Records include items completed by Rimmer for Colophon Books, including Alison’s Fishing Birds and preliminary work on Allen Ginsberg’s Meditations at Lake Louise; editorial cartoons created by Rimmer for the Williams Lake Tribune from 1960 to 1961; and numerous prints, paintings, and logos created for commercial purposes. Companies, organizations and individuals represented include Murchie’s Tea and Coffee Ltd., Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Air Canada, Vancouver Public Library, Hot Jazz Club, the band Heart, Whistler village, Shrine Circus, and Douglas & McIntyre Publishers.

Audio/visual materials

Series consists of VHS, DVDs, Betacam, Umatic and reel-to-reel recordings of audio-visual materials related to IMAG's training programs and film festivals.The series is divided into three subseries: Submissions to film festivals, commercials and other promotional films for the film festivals, and student work or other recordings produced as part of a training program.

Writings

This series consists of the various writings by Eli Popoff and other authors some of which may not have been published. The series consists of articles, essays, interview transcripts, notes, song texts, speeches, and other records that related to the Doukhobor history and culture.
Series 1 is divided into two sub-series: 1: Popoff’s writings; 2: Writings of others

“I Stand for Canada” – Rick Archbold

This series is comprised of records related to the conception and publication of the book “I Stand for Canada: the Story of the Maple Leaf Flag”, published in 2002.
The series is divided into the following 7 sub-series: Drafts, proofs and edits (2001-2003), Agreements and contracts (1998-2002), Project development and correspondence (2000-2002), Post-production, promotions, and reviews (2002-2009), Image copyright requests and agreements (2002), Images collected for use in "I Stand for Canada" (2002), and Research conducted for "I Stand for Canada" (2002).

Works by other authors

Series consists of written works by other authors including drafts, articles, poems, and book manuscripts. In addition to these the series also includes collected published works by other authors including books, chapbooks, broadsides, journals, and other types of published materials. The series is divided into two sub-series: Collected publications; and General works.

Ephemera

Series consists of various types of textual ephemera, including newspaper clippings, event programs and ticket stubs, curriculum vitae of other colleagues, as well as other personal mementos and textual material.

Correspondence of others

Series consists of correspondence of individuals other than Blaser, including poet Jack Spicer, artist Jess Collins, writer Stan Persky, Blaser’s partner David Farwell, Blaser’s mother Ina Blaser, Blaser’s maternal grandmother Sophia Auer, and other friends and family. Includes handwritten and typed correspondence as well as email correspondence. Series is divided into the following seven sub-series: Correspondence of Jack Spicer (1959-1962); Correspondence of Jess Collins ([196-?]-1967); Correspondence of Stan Persky (1963-1967); Correspondence of David Farwell (2006-2009); Correspondence of Ina Blaser (1919-1978); Correspondence of Sophia Auer (1916-1941); and General correspondence of others (1956, 1975).

Professional records

Series consists of records generated from Neil’s work as a musician and artist. These include publicity materials, performance notes, set lists, exhibition files, grant applications, correspondence, original paintings, music scores, and essays about Al Neil.

Post-war Vancouver

This series is comprised of material associated with Ajaib’s life after World War II as he developed a successful business and started a family. Most of the images in this series come from a family album and are centered around Ajaib’s marriage to Nirmal and the early years of their marriage. Most of the material from later in his life is in the form of correspondence and other records. Also included are some memorabilia items and ephemera that illustrate how Ajaib and Nirmal enjoyed their free time (concerts, theatre shows, trips, etc.).
The series is divided into 2 sub-series: Photographs and Textual records.

Administrative records - general

This series is primarily comprised of business records related to the general business activities of Judith Marcuse Projects (and all associated identities), including contracts, annual reports and meeting minutes. In some cases there is overlap with a file containing general documents as well as project-specific ones; in those instances the file was assigned to the series appropriate to the majority of content.
