General works

Sub-series consists of journals and notebooks, speeches, statements, short stories, a translation, and grant applications completed by Blaser.

General correspondence

Sub-series consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence between Blaser and family, friends, colleagues, and unidentified correspondents. Records include handwritten and typed correspondence, as well as facsimile and email correspondence. Additional material includes newspaper clippings, notes, receipts, and other textual material sent to Blaser.

General works

Sub-series consists of articles, poems, manuscripts, and other works written by other authors. Some works are unpublished versions and drafts sent to Blaser and include both handwritten and typescript materials.

Photographs

This sub-series consists of 24 photographs of Stephan Sorokin. Many of the photographs are portraits or close-up of Sorokin at different ages, however, very few photographs are actually dated. Some of the photographs depict Sorokin with individuals or groups of people and some photographs were taken at events.

Sub-series consists of correspondence, photographs, ephemera, notebooks, and other records generated from Doris French Shackleton’s career as a freelance writer and journalist.

Writings

This sub-series consists of the reports, writings, speeches, talks, addresses, mandate, manual, texts of songs created on behalf of the CCUB by its executive members. These documents relate to the history and ideology of the Doukhobor communities and its leaders and were written for the benefit of the communities. This sub-series contains both original mimeographed and manuscript documents as well as photocopies of documents. Most documents are in Russian and a few in English.

General print photographs

Sub-series consists of print photographs of miscellaneous people and places as well as objects such as statutes, paintings, and collages.

War related documents

This sub-series consists of records relating to the Canadian government requirement of men registration for the military conscription purposes in 1940 and the Society of Named Doukhobor members efforts to be exempt from conscription based on their doctrine and beliefs.

Blaser family friends print photographs

Sub-series consists of photographs of friends of Blaser’s immediate family, including Sister Mary Seraphina, who was Blaser’s mother’s teacher and lifelong friend, and boyhood friends of Blaser’s.

Writings

This sub-series consists of various writings by the Doukhobor individuals or about the Doukhobor community and their beliefs. The documents in this sub-series include: essays, poems, dairies, notebooks, articles, text of songs, speeches, reports, messages, clippings and other writings.

Land documents

This sub-series consists of various documents relating to the Doukhobor owned land in British Columbia and in Saskatchewan, its use, management and development, land disputes with the CCUB, the Sons of Freedom, the USCC and the Canadian government, property taxes and legal matters. Documents in this sub-series include: applications and forms, property tax notices and eviction notices, land titles, land permits and licenses, correspondence, reports, statements, resolutions, legal notices, court proceedings and documents, maps, and clippings. The majority of the documents relate to the time period between 1950s-1980s, but many documents are accompanied by photocopies of earlier land documents from the time of early Doukhobor settlements in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. This file also includes many documents relating to the acquisition, development and use of land referred to as New Settlement Street in Krestova.

Visual art

Sub-series consists of original works of art created by Mootoo in various media.

Diamond grill records

This series consists of records such as writing drafts, notes, and research records relating to the book "Diamond Grill," published by NeWest Press in 1996. The book is a semi-fictional biography recounting Wah's childhood experiences.

General records

Series consists of general research records and works of others kept by Wah for personal and professional purposes, as well as other types of records relating to these works, such as related correspondence.

Published writings

Sub-series consists of Al Neil’s published work. Publications include "Blewointment," "radiofreerainforest," the "Georgia Straight," "Lodgistiks," "BC Monthly" and "Living Art Vancouver."

Sub-series consists of records relating to Wah's editorial activities. Wah has worked as both an editor of various literary periodicals, and has also edited the poetry manuscripts of friends, colleagues, and peers. Records include correspondence, works of others, and administrative records.
