Fonds contains material relating to Lebowitz's career at SFU and her participation in the Corrective Collective, a feminist writing group active in the 1970s. Fonds includes correspondence, minutes, proposals, publications, newspapers, invoices, receipts, a ledger, and other documents.

In 1970 Candace Parker was a member of the Vancouver Women's Caucus and a graduate student at the University of British Columbia. For a sociology class, Parker and Sibylle Klein wrote an essay, "Developing An Ideology: the Feminist Movement in North America," which drew upon Parker's experiences in Women's Caucus. Candace Parker was also interviewed by Frances Wasserlein and the transcript of that interview is contained in the Frances Wasserlein fonds, F-162.

The collection consists of research material collected by Candace Parker in the course of preparing her essay plus some additional feminist literature acquired afterwards. Includes notes and drafts, news clippings, reprints, broadsheets, position papers, briefs, newsletters, and newspapers.

The fonds consists of a booklet of the proceedings of the 4th annual conference of the Canadian Association of University Security Directors, held at SFU in 1974. The fonds also consists of 12 photographs, 9 of which depict the construction of SFU. The other 3 depict Fred in various official capacities, including coordinating a search for a missing girl and a contact sheet showing Hope posing in his office. Two of the construction photographs were George Allen aerial photographs numbered 11620 and 9328 have been added to the SFU archives aerial photograph collection (F-30-3-0-0-1).

Note: While the deed of gift indicates that a plaque and two yearbooks: SFU The Early Years and SFU: A Report on the Early Years were also donated, there is no evidence of these items in the fonds.

Collection consists of records available in multiple formats relating to the 14-lecture series "Canadian-American Relations: Perspectives on the Columbia River Treaty" held at Simon Fraser University in 1974.

The Columbia River Treaty was an agreement between Canada and the United States for flood control and the construction of dams for the generation of hydroelectricity. Four dams were constructed - three in Canada (Mica, Arrow, and Duncan) and one in the United States (Libby). The treaty was signed in 1961 but was not ratified by the Canadian Parliament. The treaty was so controversial that a Protocol was drawn up, which eventually defined the monetary terms and operational procedures without changing any of the physical plan. The Protocol was agreed upon in 1964.

The lecture series was organized through the combined efforts of the Canadian Studies Program, the Department of Continuing Studies, and the Alumni Association and was chaired by Professor George Cook of the History Department. Each lecture was given by a person who had been closely connected to the Columbia River Treaty. Admission to attend the lectures was free. All lectures were held in the East Concourse Cafeteria, SFU (Burnaby campus).

Collection consists of audio recordings of the Columbia River Treaty lecture series advertised by Simon Fraser University as "a series of talks and panels designed to increase public understanding of this issue in Canadian-American relations on the international, national, regional and local levels and from the political, legal, economic, geographic and social aspects." The collection also consists of transcripts compiled by BC Hydro (Dania Robinson) in 2011 from the audio recordings of the Columbia River Treaty lecture series. Due to variable audio quality, the transcripts are not a full disclosure of the lectures. Researchers are advised to review access copies of the original audio recordings.

Document types include reel to reel, audio cassette tapes, digital (mp3 format) as well as transcripts (paper and PDF formats) of the audio recordings.

Fonds consists of research material gathered by Johnston for his book Radical Campus: Making Simon Fraser University. Subjects, events and activities documented include the socio-political context of post-secondary education in the 1960s; the establishment of SFU; and the rise of student activism. Records reflect his involvement with Simon Fraser University as Chancellor, his contribution to building the new university and his interest in education and SFU after he retired as Chancellor. Fonds consists of correspondence, drafts, articles, reviews, and other records created and accumulated by Anita Rau Badami in the course of her career as a writer. Includes drafts of her first three novels: Tamarind Mem (1997), The Hero’s Walk and Can You Hear the Nightbird Call?. There are no records related to her last novel, Tell it to the Trees (2011). Fonds consists of predominantly of media works (photographs, moving images, sound recordings, graphic materials) created by LIDC and its predecessors. Records were created in the course of the department's work to provide media and technical support for university teaching and research; support instruction in the development of innovative teaching methods; produce publications to communicate and promote SFU and its programs; and create an audio-visual record of campus events and activities. This collection contains records of the British Columbia Social Credit Party, predominantly in relation to the operations of Burnaby-Edmonds constituency. The collection includes records relating to other selected ridings where by-elections took place and party wide records relating to provincial elections. A considerable amount of records relates to the Social Credit Party leadership campaigns, party annual conventions and BC Young Socred organization. The majority of records cover period between 1978 and 1996, but some records reach as far as 1950 and 2005.

The collection contains administrative and day to day operations records such as memos, correspondence, membership list, contact lists, organizational constitution and by-laws, statements, committees’ minutes, and messages. In addition, the collection contains handbooks, manuals, reports and informational booklets intended to instruct candidates and volunteers on campaigning methods and strategies. Many of these records provide insight into shaping and evolving of the policies and electoral platforms of the Social Credit Party. In addition, the collection contains provincial election and party leadership campaign managing records that include candidate profiles and lists, internal correspondence and memos, and external use records intended for the promotion of the Social Credit Party and its candidates. The collection also includes a number of newspaper clippings, party newsletters, articles, posters, photographs, campaign buttons, video and sound recordings of events and promotional material.

The fonds of the Vancouver Women in Trades Association consists of records created and received in the course of administering the organization and providing support and advocacy for women working in trades and technology in the Vancouver area. Activities documented include annual and monthly meetings; office administration and funding; liaison with other groups; advisory work on vocational curricula; outreach projects; and advocacy around specific issues. Document types include constitution, minutes, correspondence, logbooks, worksheets, policy statements, briefs, reports, speeches, questionnaires, and photographs and illustrations. The fonds also contains published reference material, whose publication dates in some instances precede the foundation of the Association itself.

Fonds consists of records created or received by the Peak Publications Society primarily in the course of publishing The Peak, the student newspaper of Simon Fraser University. Activities and topics documented include the establishment and organization of the Peak Publications Society; developing sources of funding; the production of the newspaper, including the taking of photographs required to illustrate stories published; the hiring and duties of Peak staff members; and other publishing ventures of the Peak Publications Society. Includes a complete run of The Peak newspaper from 1965 and other published material such as the Terminal City Express, The Dic (student course guide), and The Peak Handbook. Also includes certification of incorporation, constitution, agendas, minutes, financial records, correspondence, and other documents, as well as contact sheets, prints, negatives, and microfilm reels.

Fonds consists of correspondence, manuscripts, notes, articles, and promotional materials created or accumulated by Robert Bringhurst over the course of his career as a typographer and writer. The majority of records were created in 2000 or later, as the donor had also donated records to Library and Archives Canada in the past.

The records include manuscripts of several of his major publications, as well as draft versions and speaking notes for many essays written and talks delivered throughout his career. Also included is correspondence with friends, publishers, and colleagues, translated editions of many of his books, and promotional materials such as posters and brochures for many conferences, festivals, and other events Bringhurst participated in. Fonds consists of records relating to the personal, political, and academic life of Hari P. Sharma. Activities, topics, and events documented include community activism for human rights and social justice of minorities and underrepresented groups; academic conference attendance and presentations; Sharma's research, writing, photography, and publications; his social life and relationships; and his death and memorial.

Fonds consists of material created, received and used by Colleen McCrory during her work as founder of the Valhalla Wilderness Society and as a member of the BC Environmental Network, Taiga Resource Network, the Boreal Forest Network and Canada's Future Forest Alliance. Includes material relating to the activities and accomplishments of these groups in general, as well as records pertaining to environmental movements and activities at the provincial, national and international level, and a significant amount of material relating to indigenous peoples' roles in these movements. Material also documents McCrory's achievements, honours and recognition. Records include correspondence, reports, newspaper clippings, newsletters, books, journals, posters and a flag. Major subject areas covered include: Clayoquot Sound, Carmanah Valley, Stein Valley, lower Stikine, pulp mills, logging and forestry, gas industry, dams, legal disputes, campaigns to save specific areas in B.C., particularly the Slocan Valley and areas in the Kootenays, the proposed Jumbo Glacier ski resort, activities of the New Democratic Party of BC. Together these records document the history of environmental movement in British Columbia and Canada.
However, Valhalla Wilderness Society fonds contain very little material on major campaigns that VWS worked on, like watershed conflicts in the Slocan Valley. VWS decided that these materials are still essential for the ongoing business of their organization.
