The play is a dramatization of the historical link between the fishing town of Steveston, home to many Japanese-Canadians, and Mio, the coastal village in Wakayama, Japan, from which many of their ancestors originally emigrated. Also includes two optical discs, one of which contains sound files with transcriptions.

Material includes handwritten edits and notes on the text, which include facsimiles sent with revisions from Harrison Birtwistle, who wrote the score for The Last Supper, and representatives at Allied Artists.
