Vancouver Art Book Fair records

Sub-series contains records related to Adbusters Media Foundation's participation in the 2018 Vancouver Art Book Fair. Paper records include subscription cards, an internal manual on running an exhibition booth, price lists, and newsletter sign-up sheets. Born-digital records include emails, photographs, digital posters, an internal manual on running an exhibition booth, and a silent auction prize letter.

Unnumbered prints and negatives

Sub-series consists of photographic prints and negatives that were not assigned standard control numbers by the creating department (see sub-series 1-4 for description of the numbering system used by LIDC and its predecessors). Subjects include SFU architecture, campus scenes, and photos of university community members (Pauline Jewett, Chris Davies, David Skulski, A.J. Grants, Paul Cote, Wolfgang Youngrau, James B. Griffin, and R.W. Wylie). File 1 contains a series of photographs from the life of SFU Chancellor Gordon Shrum, including a World War I portrait and photos of his years at UBC and BC Hydro; some of these images were used in the the film produced by the Audio-Visual Centre This is SFU (1972).

University Task forces

Sub-series consists of records relating to the Vice-President, Academic's involvement with the various university task forces. The VP Academic's relation to the individual task forces may vary: the VP may be a member; or the senior administrator to which the task force reported; or simply a correspondent. University Search Committees

Sub-series consists of records relating to the Vice-President, Academic's involvement with university search committees for senior academic and academic support administrators, including faculty deans, the Registrar, the University Librarian, and the Director of Computing Services. University policies and procedures

Sub-series consists of records relating to the development, implementation, and interpretation of university policies and procedures. Policies documented include faculty workload, faculty personnel files, university professorships, financial exigency, research grants, patents and copyright, curriculum approval, add / drop regulations, examinations, employment equity, harassment, and the university smoking policy. Records include correspondence, reports, policies and procedures, drafts and working papers, and legal advice.

University matters - general

Sub-series consists of records relating to university matters in general. Activities and topics documented include the organization of the faculties, academic and strategic planning, IT planning, fundraising (including the President's Club and Challenge 2001 campaign), capital planning, proposal for an SFU Metrotown campus, faculty relations, women and the university (including correspondence with Academic Women), labour relations, and community relations. Records include correspondence, reports, meeting notes, capital plans, wide-distribution memos sent by the VP Academic to faculty Deans, and printed reference material.

University matters - general

Sub-series consists of files relating to university-wide matters and which did not fall under more specific classification categories. Activities and topics documented include conferences held on campus, conference funding, and the adoption of the metric system at the university. Records consist predominantly of correspondence.
