Personal correspondence and related materials

Series consists of letters of correspondence, postcards, greeting cards, photographs, mailing address lists, prison correspondence lists, faxes, photocopies of letters, printed e-mails, excerpts from a magazine, newspaper clippings, a receipt, two calendars, earning reports, newsletters, a real estate advertisement, and drawings from Betty Krawczyk time in prison. Local, national, and international incoming and outgoing correspondence is included in this series. Some of the correspondence and its accompanying materials were received from Krawczyk’s family members and friends, while others are from strangers who read about her experiences in newspapers throughout the world. Some correspondence also includes proof samples of Krawczyk’s publications.

Series consists of various photographs collected by Betty Krawczyk. Series includes photographic prints of various sizes that document Krawczyk’s activities in community organizations, protests, prison, and her family. Some photographs have corresponding handwritten notes attached to them.

File consists of computer print-outs of eleven digital photographs. The records show Betty Krawczyk’s protesting activities. The photographs are labelled for an appendix.

File consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, and notes regarding Betty Krawczyk’s incarceration at the B.C.C.W. and preparation for trial. File contains Krawczyk’s typed statements, a print-out of an online news article from The Vancouver Sun, Krawcyzk’s outgoing and incoming correspondence, a trust account statement, a calendar page, receipts, and an Earth First newsletter.

File consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence for Betty Krawczyk. Included are typed notes regarding life in prison by Kathy Grimsson and handwritten and typed incoming correspondence. Krawczyk’s outgoing correspondence includes a report she wrote titled “About the Elaho” and a typed letter.

[Prison correspondence, receipts, and forms]

File consists of records related to Betty Krawczyk’s incarceration at Burnaby Correctional Centre for Women. File includes correspondence from the Director of Operations in regards to returned mail, receipts, a B.C.C.W. Request form, and a trust account slip.
