- June 29, 1980 - the official opening of the National Doukhobor Heritage Village Museum Complex at Verigin, Saskatchewan and celebration of Doukhobor Peace Day or Peter’s Day including picnic and cultural programs. September 26, 1980 – Arrival of troupe of Soviet performing artist in West Kootenays and reception at the Brilliant Cultural Centre. September 27, 1980 – Tour of West Kootenay area with Soviet artists and gala concert at the Brilliant Cultural Centre. September 28, 1980 – Grand opening ceremonies of the newly rebuilt USCC Community Centre in Grand Forks (the previous destroyed by arson in 1977). The images include mass outdoor photo session in front of the new Centre, traditional prayer meeting and gala official opening concerts featuring visiting artists as well as local choirs. September 29, 1980 – Visiting artists give performance at the Grand Forks Secondary School, artists tour the Grand Forks area and are hosted by the family of USCC Honorary Chairman, John J. Verigin at the official residence at Sirotskoye and events at the Verigin’s burial place at the Verigin Park in Castlegar. September 30- October 1, 1980 – Farewells and final tours for guests in Grand Forks and West Kootenays. October 5, 1980 – first gathering of the USCC Sunday School children and teachers in the newly open USCC Community Centre in Grand Forks. October 7-12, 1980 various scenes with staff and directors at the Doukhobor Village Museum in Castlegar, BC. October 12, 1980 – 54th session of the Joint Doukhobor Research Symposium held in Castlegar.
The images include depiction of individuals, including John J. Verigin, the Honorary Chairman of USCC and Doukhobor community and various groups including Brotherhood, Friendship and Goodwill Choir and Union of Young Doukhobors Choir.
