Biographical history

Sandy Shreve has written five books of poetry, most recently, Waiting for the Albatross (Oolichan, 2015). She founded the BC Poetry in Transit program and was an organizer of one of the first MayWorks festivals in Vancouver. She has served on the West Coast Book Prize Society board of directors and on several prize juries. She worked at SFU and the Legal Services Society, and now lives on Pender Island. Her poetry has been widely anthologized and shortlisted for several prizes.

Custodial history

Records were in the custody of Sandy Shreve prior to their acquisition by Simon Fraser University Special Collections and Rare Books in 2008. Further materials were acquired in 2013.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of records relating to Sandy Shreve's work as a poet, editor, and founder of BC's Poetry in Transit program. Records include correspondence, poetry manuscripts, and book files.
