History
The Task Force on Financial Support of the Day Care Centre was established by the Vice-President, Administration in August 1981 to consider the question: "How can the current levels of care and service be maintained without any financial support from the university henceforth?" The Task Force submitted its report in February 1982. Following its recommendations, five individual daycare societies were reorganized in 1982 into a single non-profit society, The SFU Childcare Society.
