This sub-sub-series contains drafts, edited copies, correspondence and other records related to the writing and attempt at publishing in Canada and final printing of the Eli Popoff’s novel Katya: A Canadian Doukhobor, in Leningrad in 1991. The novel’s protagonist, young Doukhobor woman, is centered around the social and personal issues facing Doukhobor at the end of the 20th century. This novel provoked considerable critical response in the community due to depiction of the liberated heroine

International Office

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of the International Office on campus and includes correspondence between the Office and university community regarding international students. Activities documented include development of orientation, counselling and programs for international students; space and funding proposals; International Club newsletters; student refugee profiles; conference and seminar information; and the document "Report of the Task Force on International Students at Simon Fraser University." Also included are records relating to SFU's involvement with the World University Service of Canada (W.U.S.C.) and the Canadian Bureau for International Education (C.B.I.E.). Records include correspondence and working papers, agendas and minutes, reports, financial statements, contracts, and publications.

Interactive Videodisc Career Planning Project

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of the Interactive Videodisc Career Planning Project, also known as Knowledge for Youth About Careers (KYAC) Project and includes regular progress reports; university copyright concerns regarding the project; correspondence with the university community; budgets and audited financial reviews; government funding contracts; script and design documentation; a draft of "One Year Business Plan for SFU Interactive Videodisc Career Project;" and publishing and marketing proposals. Records include correspondence and working papers, agendas and minutes, contracts, reports, and financial statements.

Inside War files

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to Fellman's third published work, Inside War: The Guerilla Conflict in Missouri During the American Civil War (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1989). Records include correspondence, a book review, and documentation relating to a copyright dispute in 2002 (use of Fellman's research by another without acknowledgement).

Index and material for the Epilogue

Sub-sub-series consists of photocopied material relating to the overall growth and transformation of the university in its first forty years. Subjects, activities and events documented include Burnaby Mountain Community Development; the CAUT Censure; Continuing Studies; external grants; governing bodies; Harbour Centre; the dismissal hearings for Nathan Popkin; the SFU Pipe Band; research grants; the Segal Graduate School of Business; SFU Surrey; Tech BC; support staff; and space allocation. Sub-sub-series includes annual reports; briefs; budgets; reports; correspondence; discussion papers; an index of material for chapters 4, 5 and 9 of Radical Campus; newspaper articles; statistics; and working papers.

In the Name of God and Country files

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to Fellman's book, In the Name of God and Country: Reconsidering Terrorism in American History (New Haven: Yale University Press, 2010). The project was initially called Twisting the Cross, then Twisting the Flag, before settling on the final title.

Records include paper and digital manuscript copies in multiple versions; correspondence, including exchanges with Fellman's literary agent, Sydelle Kramer, and various publishing houses; readers' reviews and reports; copies of articles, research materials, notes and working papers. There are seven digital versions of the manuscript, located in files 9, 13-18. No attempt has been made to analyze, compare, or reconcile versions. Version numbers (A-G) were assigned by the archivist based on date-modification timestamps. Print copies of the manuscript are also included among the paper files.

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the management of Granville Island Brewing staff, and includes employee manuals and mission statement; job descriptions; meeting notes and agenda; and records relating to employee performance appraisal.

Human Resources Committee records

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the activities of the Human Resources Committee, originally named the Employee Relations Committee. Includes also some records pertaining to meetings of the TechBC Pension Committee and the Senior Compensation Committee. Records include minutes and supporting papers, and a membership list.
