Human Resources - Teaching Support Staff Union (TSSU)

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to joint meetings, consultations, and negotiations between the university and the Teaching Support Staff Union (TSSU). Records include correspondence, meeting agendas, minutes and supporting papers, a copy of the TSSU memorandum of settlement (1995), and TSSU bargaining bulletins (1999).

Sub-sub-series consists of the Vice-President Academic's correspondence with, related to, or copied from the Director of Human Resources. Topics include training, pensions, benefits, staff study leave, the university's strike plan (1994), and the activities of the Joint Job Evaluation and Salary Review Committee (a joint APSA / SFU committee, 1996-1997). Health Services

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of Health Services and includes Dean's correspondence with Health Services staff, the university community, and the Medical Services Commission; student insurance and medical plans; office space and project proposals; budget and policy development; and procedures for medical forms and examinations. Also included are the reports "University Health Services Report" and "Summary of Mental Health Survey: SFU to Date." Records include correspondence and working papers, agendas and minutes, annual reports, statistics, and financial statements.

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of Health Services on campus and includes renovations, space, and funding requests; staff positions and salaries; student health insurance proposals; billing statistics; reports including "A Proposal for Provisional Dental Services for Students at SFU," and "Report of the External Review Committee on University Health Services," Health Services brochures and promotional packages for "Health Services Day." Records include correspondence and working papers, reports, financial statements and budgets, and publications.

Handicapped (Disabled) Students

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the administration of programs and services for handicapped and learning disabled students on campus and includes correspondence with students, prospective disabled students, the campus community, and provincial associations regarding disability issues; records relating to the President's Committee for Physically Disabled Students; minutes of the Disabled Student Association; recommendations from the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Studies regarding support for students with learning disabilities; documents about renovation proposals to provide improved access for handicapped students on campus; and the coordination of the student aide program to assist blind and hearing impaired students. Records include correspondence and working papers, reports, minutes, and financial statements.

Sub-sub-series consists of the Vice-President, Academic's correspondence with or relating to external research grant programs and agencies, including the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), and the Science Council. Topics documented include development of SFU's research policies, project funding, and SFU nominations for research fellowships. Records include correspondence, research proposals, request for funds, and grant award lists.

Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to Glengarry Camp general meetings and activities. Includes minutes and related papers; notations pertaining to Camp members and events; and books recording the names of visitors and members attending meetings. Minute books date back to the inaugural meeting, and include rolls of officers and new member lists. Includes minutes of joint meetings of the Glengarry and Montrose camps held between May 8, 1975 and the Montrose Camp's dissolution in May 1981.
