Series consists of diaries written by Betty Krawczyk while she was incarcerated at Burnaby Correctional Centre for Women. Series includes three files containing two bound dairies and handwritten notes on loose-leaf paper.

Gillian Darling Kovanic fonds

Fonds consists of research material, scripts, notebooks, permissions and source footage used by Kovanic in the production of her documentary films. Suspino: A Cry for Roma was released in 2003 and directed by Kovanic and produced by Tamarin Productions. The film uses interviews, a profile of a refugee family, and historical footage in order to trace the experience of persecuted Romani peoples in Eastern Europe, primarily Romania. Other films in the fonds include Our Tears Run Red, Yellow and Green, Baboon Tales and Dreaming a Nation: The Kurds, from 1994.

Fonds consists of holograph drafts and typescript drafts of poems and criticisms, press proofs, notebooks (including Davey's childhood writing in elementary and secondary school), university essays, book reviews, records relating to a brief to the Applebaum-Hebert Commission (1983), drafts relating to various critical works, university course outlines and conference material, research material, "dream journals", records relating to the journal "Open Letter" and to Coach House Press, and correspondence. Correspondents include George Bowering, Lionel Kearns, Louis Dudek, Dennis Lee, Dave Godfrey, Fred Wah, and Talonbooks. Fonds includes records of "Open Letter", a literary journal edited by Davey; archives of the writers agency, Linda McCartney, Writers Agent (1971-1976); also email correspondence relating to ACCUTE (Canadian Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of English) ca. 1993-1999.

Stephan S. Sorokin fonds

This fonds consists of personal archive of Stephen S. Sorokin that includes incoming and outgoing letters from around 1949 until his death in 1984 many of which were sent from Montevideo, Uruguay where Sorokin lived for thirt- two years. This fonds also includes many original writings and spiritual messages addressed to the Doukhobor communities, the CCBRD and the Sons of Freedom. Records in this fonds also include draft of Sorokin’s book Three Days and Three Nights published in 1950, clippings and publications related to the Sorokin’s life and his leadership of the Doukhobor community. In addition, this fonds contains Sorokin’s personal files of passports and identity documents, number of original photographs taken during his visit to British Columbia villages in 1950s and recordings of his speeches and Doukhobor singing during that visit. It also contains court records relating to Sorokin’s filing a defamation suit against Trail Times’s journalist. Additional materials include audio and video recordings of Krestova Youth Choir performances during the Expo 1986.

Sorokin, Stefan S.

Personal publicity

Series consists of magazines, newspapers, clippings and photocopies of articles about Duke or his various projects. Clippings were either set aside by Duke himself, or received from professional press clippings companies.

Banff Television Festival

Series consists mainly of textual material pertaining to Duke's involvement with the Banff Television Festival. This series includes business correspondence, personal notes and information regarding Duke's contributions to adjudications and presentations within the organization.

Fonds consists of records documenting the organization and promotion of Vancouver's Mayworks Festival of Working People and the Arts. These include programs, posters, minutes, payroll and other financial records, agendas, licenses, contracts, tickets, fundraising letters, mailings, grants, and photographs used by Mayworks festival organizers from 1988-1996. Fonds also includes a thesis about Mayworks written by Aurian Haller in 2004.
