This fonds consists of primarily of correspondence between members of the Woodsworth/MacInnis families, along with photographic material documenting extended family and some key events. James Shaver Woodsworth (J.S.) was a leader of the social democratic movement in the early 20th century and a co-founder of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) party in 1932, of which his daughter and son-in-law were also key figures. However the subject matter of most of this fonds is of a personal familial nature, rather than in-depth political discourse or strategizing. Included in this fonds are notes, manuscripts and letters, primarily written between himself and his wife, Lucy Staples Woodsworth during the years he was serving first as a clergyman through to his involvement and arrest at the Winnipeg General Strike in 1919, as well as an extended tour of Europe and Russia with Lucy in 1932. There are a few letters between J.S. and his children as they mature and pursue careers but even when J.S. ceases to be the primary author, there is news of him in the correspondence of Lucy up until his passing in 1942.

The bulk of content in this fonds consists of correspondence between Lucy Woodsworth and her daughter Grace Woodsworth MacInnis, although there are occasional letters to, from or between her other children Belva, Ralph, Charles, Bruce and Howard. The content of this material is primarily anecdotal as Lucy informs Grace of her day-to-day activities and meetings. There is some mention of her political activities and leanings - particularly of her attendance at a Women's International League conference in 1924 or in correspondence with Grace's husband, Angus MacInnis - but most letters contain news of friends and family, of health and daily activities.

Because many of these letters were originally assembled by Grace MacInnis herself, there is a subsection of correspondence between herself and Angus, from the very first days of their courtship through their combined political careers in Parliament and up until Angus's passing in 1964.

This series consists of photographs created and received by the Woodsworth/MacInnis families. They are primarily posed studio portrait images, although photographs from later years tend to be photographs related to Grace MacInnis's political career.

Series consists of graphic materials relating to BC brewing history: photographic prints, digital scans, beer labels (originals and copies), and other printed images. The series also includes Evans' correspondence relating to photo research and permissions clearance for his various projects, including the book project; textual records include correspondence, search results, low-resolution print-outs of images, order forms, invoices, schedules of fees, and conditions of use forms.

Photographs appear throughout most series in the fonds; this series brings together images that were stored loose or in separate binders or folders without any obvious connection to other materials; and it includes Evans' own low-resolution scans of analog originals.

Fonds consists of materials documenting mainly the personal life of the Halpern family but also includes some records relating to George's and Fanny's scientific and professional interests. Activities and topics documented include the Halperns' emigration to Canada, George's scientific research and business enterprises, his work with Brock House (a senior citizen's centre), Ida's community interests, and Fanny's medical career in China.

Series consists of the personal papers of Simon and Rosalie Halpern including birth certificate, identity card, professional certification, passport, immigration papers, and other material. Also includes personal letters from Fanny, George and Ida, and friends.

Collection predominantly consists of photographic material (photographs, portraits, contact sheets, negatives, proofs, and slides) but also includes textual records such as clippings, publications, news releases, posters, and miscellaneous documents. It mainly comprises publicity material relating to the activities and topics documented by Media and Public Relations and that includes the photographing of SFU people, departments, organizations, places, and campus events for producing press releases, brochures, and other University publications.

Series consists of drawings, photos, contact sheets, slides, negatives, publications, notes, correspondence, news releases, memorabilia, photocopies, and pamphlets relating to subject files kept by the Media and Public Relations Office to keep track of ideas, news leads, and developing stories as they relate to SFU. Series consists of memorabilia (artifacts), photographic prints, transparencies and contact sheets relating to George, Ida, Fanny, Simon and Rosalie Halpern. Also includes four phonograph recordings primarily related to Ida Halpern's research into Pacific Northewest Indian music.

This sub-series consists of records created by Lapshinoff either officially or unofficially for the CCBRD including matters of land, fires, education, and Verigins’ leadership. The sub-series includes correspondence, clippings, reports, meeting minutes, transcripts, receipts, committee proceedings, statements, declarations, notes, speeches, writings, chronologies and lists of events, and photographs.

This file contains a statement on bombing & copy of a chapter from a book on learning English, copies of documents showing Doukhobor convictions recognized by the government and thus exempt from military service.

This series consists of records created by various Doukhobor organization including: Kootenay Committee on Intergroup Relations, Association of Canadians of Russian Descent, Joint Doukhobor Research Committee, National Doukhobor Heritage Village, Kootenay and Boundary Citizen Committee on Doukhobor-Canadian Affairs, BC Unity Group, Doukhobor Society of Canada, Doukhobor Youth National Executive Council, and Saskatoon Society of Doukhobor. The records include correspondence, meetings minutes, administrative records, financial records, festival records, and photographs, etc. Many records in the series relate to reconciliation attempts between various Doukhobor factions as well as the organization of cultural celebratory events. Records are in English and Russian.

This series consists of mainly photocopies of documents created by various government bodies: federal, provincial and local between 1873 and 1987 relating to the Doukhobor communities in Canada. These records also include correspondence, open letters, statements, reports, messages and telegrams send by the Doukhobor communities to the government officials. This series also includes some photocopies of newspaper clippings, articles, chapters of publications, trial proceedings and maps.
Most of these documents are housed in other archives and contain file reference numbers. This collection was created by members of the Doukhobor community during their research of the Doukhobor history and Doukhobor relations with the Canadian governments. The files indicate photocopy requests by Steve Lapshinoff, Makortoff, Chernoff, and Sam Shlakoff. In addition, many of the records relate to the Kootenay Committee on Intergroup Relations (KCIR) and court cases and proceedings that Doukhobor communities were involved in.

Most documents are in English and some in Russian.

This sub-series consists of records relating to the Doukhobor immigration and settlement in Canada as well as issues of citizenship.

This series consists of the correspondence, notebooks, list and texts of Russian and Doukhobor songs, hymns, psalms and poems. These records were created and collected with an aim to compiled "Sbornik" a collection of Doukhobor songs. Some of the correspondence is with potential publishers and printers.

Sub-series consists of photographs of Blaser and his immediate and extended family.

Item is a pen and watercolour sketch of a First Nations canoe being paddled by two people.

The fonds consists of records relating primarily to Innes’ drawing, painting, and writing. Records include original cartoons, publications containing Innes’ work, a chapbook, exhibit programs and reviews, and images of Innes’ paintings, as well as photographs of Innes, biographical material, and a patent agreement.

The fonds has been arranged into six series: Records relating to Innes’ paintings ([190-?]-1943); Illustrations and cartoons ([between 1880 and 1941]); Publications (1900-[ca. 1934]); Photographs of Innes ([192-?-193-?]); Patent (1 Feb. 1919); and Records relating to Innes created after his death ([1941]-1945).

Series consists of editorial cartoons drawn for newspapers, illustrations created for newspapers and other publications, Christmas cards illustrated by Innes, and sketches. The majority of the cartoons pertain to World War I.
