Jumbo Glacier Resort

This sub-series contains records related to the proposed ski development of Jumbo Glacier Resort in the Jumbo Creek Valley located west of Invermere in the Purcell Mountains of the Kootenays and opposition to the project by various wilderness protection organizations, including the VWS and Jumbo Creek Conservation Society. Colleen McCrory played key role in leading this campaign. Some records relate to the Gizzly bear protection in the area of the proposed development. The records were created by the project developers (Pheidias Project Management Corp.), government agencies, and wilderness protection organizations.

Various organizations

This sub-series consists of record of various Doukhobor organizations: National Doukhobor Heritage Village, Kootenay and Boundary Citizen Committee on Doukhobor-Canadian Affairs, BC Unity Group, Doukhobor Society of Canada, Doukhobor Youth National Executive Council, and Saskatoon Society of Doukhobors. The records include meeting minutes, administrative records, financial records, correspondence, statements, newsletters and a photograph.

Episode files

Sub-series contains incoming and outgoing correspondence between James Delgado, Eco-Nova Multimedia Productions, and others involved with the production of 'The Sea Hunters' television series. Also included are newspaper clippings and articles written by Delgado regarding episodes or their subject matter, research records, records relating to and ideas for episodes, and travel and filming itineraries.

The Last Supper (opera) related records

Sub-series consists of textual material and photographs related to the opera, The Last Supper, performed with music composed by Harrison Birtwistle and libretto by Blaser.

Grant applications

Sub-series consists of Daphne Marlatt's grant applications and supporting material, including photographs, biographical information, promotional articles, and correspondence.

Awards

Subseries contains a file related to awards for best film in various categories at the IMAGeNation Film and Video Festival. Subseries also contains an award plaque.

This sub-series contains records relating to the conceptualization and development of the textual content of “A Road for Canada”. Record types include print-outs, correspondence and notes.

Series contains documents related to the administration and organization of IMAG's professional development training program offerings, including correspondence, forms, instructor evaluations, student work, curriculum outlines, and funding applications.

The Hero’s Walk articles and reviews

Subseries consists of articles and reviews of the novel The Hero’s Walk published in Canadian and international magazines and newspapers. It also includes Italian articles on Anita Rau Badami as winner of Berto Prize with her novel The Hero’s Walk

Land documents

This sub-series consists of various documents relating to the Doukhobor owned land in British Columbia and in Saskatchewan, its use, management and development, land disputes with the CCUB, the Sons of Freedom, the USCC and the Canadian government, property taxes and legal matters. Documents in this sub-series include: applications and forms, property tax notices and eviction notices, land titles, land permits and licenses, correspondence, reports, statements, resolutions, legal notices, court proceedings and documents, maps, and clippings. The majority of the documents relate to the time period between 1950s-1980s, but many documents are accompanied by photocopies of earlier land documents from the time of early Doukhobor settlements in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. This file also includes many documents relating to the acquisition, development and use of land referred to as New Settlement Street in Krestova.

Gangsterquest records

Sub-series consists of records relating to Peter Trower and Yvonne Klan’s unpublished book project "Gangsterquest: The Search for the King of Safecrackers." An account of the life of Herbert Emerson Wilson (aka Herb Wilson), the project was originally titled "Holy Herb." Records include notes, research records, chapter and screenplay outlines, and edited and unedited draft manuscripts.

General instruction records

Sub-series consists of materials relating to Wah's work as instructor at various institutions, including Selkirk College and the University of Calgary. Records include pedagogical resources, as well as instructional materials not related to one specific course, or where the course is not known.

Photographs

Sub-series contains photographs, contact sheets, and negatives compiled by James Delgado relating to the television series "The Sea Hunters." Photographs depict Delgado and the "Sea Hunters" team members during the planning, research, and filming of episodes.

Works on paper

Sub-series consists of artworks created by Beaulieu, many of which were produced while he was a student at Alberta College of Art + Design.

He Drown She in the Sea

Sub-series consists of drafts, manuscripts and final proofs for the novel published as He Drown She in the Sea in 2005. Working titles for this novel included Harry the Egg-Man; The Woman Who Gave Love Birds as a Present; Once, A Raleigh Man; The Summer of Rose; and The Servant’s Son. The many drafts in this sub-series show the progression from first writings to finished work.
The drafts also show that Mootoo worked on her novel in sections, assigning alpha-numeric designators to each section during the draft stages of the work (eg. 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 2C and so on).
