The fonds includes records (manuscripts, correspondence, etc.) of Gilbert's literary journal, "B.C. Monthly", and records including photographs) of the New Era Social Club, an artists' studio/living space in Vancouver; and audiotapes of radiofreerainforest shows.

The fonds reflects Bök’s participation in the Canadian poetry scene as well as his teaching work. Records include correspondence with numerous other writers, teaching associates, fans, gallery owners, and conference organizers, as well as manuscript drafts, reviews of Bök’s work, ephemera from festivals and exhibitions, other writers’ works, and gifts and souvenirs. The fonds also includes Bök’s work laptop and its contents, which include textual records, photographs, audio, and video files of exhibits, performances, and travel.

The collection consists of items related to Robertson's writing, editing, and teaching activities, and includes correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, notebooks, teaching materials, clippings, video and audio tapes, ephemera, and a range of publications, some of which Robertson worked on as an editor, and others to which she contributed her own work. The majority of the records of Sono Nis Press from 1968 to 1976 are at the National Library of Canada under the J. Michael Yates fonds. Since Sono Nis was taken over by Morriss Printing in 1976, all archival records have been retained. Current records (approximately 1989 to 1993) include editorial files, production files, association files, awards and promotions information, and financial records. The archival records (1976 to approximately 1988) include financial records, editorial files, production files, and correspondence. All art work, design work, and printing plates for every book have been retained in the fonds along with two copies of each book published by Sono Nis Press.

Fonds consists of research material, scripts, notebooks, permissions and source footage used by Kovanic in the production of her documentary films. Suspino: A Cry for Roma was released in 2003 and directed by Kovanic and produced by Tamarin Productions. The film uses interviews, a profile of a refugee family, and historical footage in order to trace the experience of persecuted Romani peoples in Eastern Europe, primarily Romania. Other films in the fonds include Our Tears Run Red, Yellow and Green, Baboon Tales and Dreaming a Nation: The Kurds, from 1994.
