Fonds consists of master videotapes and notes from two film projects: documentary portraits of Gerry Gilbert (The Big Break), taped in 1988, and Voice: Roy Kiyooka, taped in 1991.

The fonds consists of records created and received in the course of the formation, establishment and operation of the union, primarily during the period 1976-1987. The records reflect the initial drive to charter, organize and certify the union; the internal administration of the union, including elections and finance; negotiations with the administration to establish and renew contracts; efforts to maintain, expand, represent and inform the membership; participation in the provincial organization of the Association of University and College Employees and cooperation with other AUCE locals, and other unions; and involvement in industrial action. Also included are records of the Graduate Students' union, a forerunner, though not direct predecessor, of TSSU. The records include the charter and bylaws; committee agendas and minutes; financial statements; correspondence; membership lists; election materials; reports; negotiation minutes and collective agreements; mediation and hearing records; convention minutes; strike materials; publications and publicity materials. The records as received had no obvious overall arrangement. Duplicate material has been removed where practicable, but the mixed nature of the files requires researchers to be prepared to search for records on matters of interest.

Fonds consists of moving images, sound recordings, and textual records relating to Arthur Erickson, his achievements, his travels, and his friends and family. Moving images include documentaries; exhibitions; TV programs; Architectural Institute of America meetings; artistic films; and home movies documenting Erickson's travels and family life. Note that a number of the films are duplicates stored on different mediums (e.g. Betacam, U-matic, and VHS). Sound recordings include radio interviews, lecture series, news documentaries, movie soundtracks, and a soundtrack for the Architectural Institute of America awards ceremony. Textual records include two books and two pamphlets.

This fonds contains textual and photographic materials compiled by Jim Douglas, primarily relating to his various business and professional work in the field of book publishing. There is also printed material he compiled while researching legal topics relevant to publishing such as libel, copyright, contract and professional standards.

The fonds consists of materials generated by the operations of the Indigenous Media Arts Group (IMAG), including administrative and financial records, publications, correspondence, meeting minutes, staff and business contact lists, volunteer coordination records, IMAG’s internal forms, resumes, staff and student information. The fonds includes records relating to funding, promoting and coordinating various Indigenous arts development programs, including grant applications, sponsorship agreement, activity reporting, teaching materials, correspondence, festival schedules and guides, publicity materials, press clippings and festival advertisement. In addition, there is a small collection of textbooks on film making. The fonds also contains records specific to the IMAGeNation film festival, including films submitted for the festival, and films created by IMAG staff and students. The fonds contains festival posters and photographs from festivals and other events.

Fonds consists of materials documenting mainly the personal life of the Halpern family but also includes some records relating to George's and Fanny's scientific and professional interests. Activities and topics documented include the Halperns' emigration to Canada, George's scientific research and business enterprises, his work with Brock House (a senior citizen's centre), Ida's community interests, and Fanny's medical career in China.

Fonds consists of records generated from Al Neil's work as a musician, artist and writer, as well as his personal and family records. These include family photographs, records from Neil's military service, correspondence, documentation of performances, art exhibitions and collages, clippings of interviews and reviews, original manuscripts and drafts, published writings, grant applications, posters, and material related to his and Carole Itter's cabin at Dollarton, North Vancouver, BC.

Fonds has been arranged into the following eight series: Correspondence (1959–2010); Writings (1968–1996); Professional records (1936-2009); Reviews and clippings (1958–2009); Personal records (1940–1994); Photographs ([185-]–[200-]); Videos (1978–2005), and Sound recordings (1976–1987).

The fonds consists of correspondence from Cid Corman to Gael Turnbull; rejections from Poetry, Tiger's Eye, and Howard Griffin; and correspondence with Robert Singer.

After immigrating to Canada following World War II, David Macaree (d. 1998) earned his M.A from UBC and PhD from the University of Washington. He joined the Department of English at UBC, his primary areas of interest being 18th-century literature (mostly Defoe) and English composition, and remained a faculty member until his retirement in 1985.

Mary Macaree (1922-2008) qualified as a teacher in Scotland and then as a librarian upon immigrating to Canada. She received her Bachelor of Library Science degree from UBC in 1963 and became that institution’s head librarian in 1968. She retired in 1985.

One of Mary’s hobbies included Scottish country dancing and she also took a philanthropic interest in the development of libraries and programs supporting Scottish culture and studies. She and her husband were avid hikers and proponents of the outdoors, together they authored two popular books “103 Hikes in Southwestern British Columbia” and “109 Walks in British Columbia's Lower Mainland”.

David passed away in 1998, and Mary in 2008.

The fonds is arranged into two sous-fonds, one for each creator. The David Macaree sous-fonds is arranged into the following three series: Papers authored (1951-1986), Papers authored by others (1963-1998), and Robbie Burns research and associated notes (1961-1996). The Mary Macaree sous-fonds is also arranged into three series: Papers authored (1959-1964), Records associated with Scottish country dancing (1961-2000), and Records associated with universities and other entities (2005-2007).

Fonds consists of research material, scripts, notebooks, permissions and source footage used by Kovanic in the production of her documentary films. Suspino: A Cry for Roma was released in 2003 and directed by Kovanic and produced by Tamarin Productions. The film uses interviews, a profile of a refugee family, and historical footage in order to trace the experience of persecuted Romani peoples in Eastern Europe, primarily Romania. Other films in the fonds include Our Tears Run Red, Yellow and Green, Baboon Tales and Dreaming a Nation: The Kurds, from 1994.

Fonds consists of holograph drafts and typescript drafts of poems and criticisms, press proofs, notebooks (including Davey's childhood writing in elementary and secondary school), university essays, book reviews, records relating to a brief to the Applebaum-Hebert Commission (1983), drafts relating to various critical works, university course outlines and conference material, research material, "dream journals", records relating to the journal "Open Letter" and to Coach House Press, and correspondence. Correspondents include George Bowering, Lionel Kearns, Louis Dudek, Dennis Lee, Dave Godfrey, Fred Wah, and Talonbooks. Fonds includes records of "Open Letter", a literary journal edited by Davey; archives of the writers agency, Linda McCartney, Writers Agent (1971-1976); also email correspondence relating to ACCUTE (Canadian Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of English) ca. 1993-1999.

Fonds consists of posters, handbills, zines, newspapers, comics, original artwork, scripts, promotional material and audiovisual records related to the Vancouver political art and punk scenes in the 1980s and 1990s.

Fonds consists of records relating to Kamboureli's work as a researcher and writer of criticism of Canadian literature. Records include author files, manuscripts, diaries, correspondence with authors such as Robert Kroetsch, Nana Issaia, Daphne Marlatt, Frank Davey, Fred Wah, and Lola Lemire Tostevin.

Fonds consists of records relating to the activities of the Social Credit Women's Auxiliary and materials collected by Flo Dickinson as a member of the auxiliary. These include campaign material, photographs, correspondence, textiles, certificates, newspaper clippings, placards, account books, reports, magazines, brochures, and ephemera.

The fonds reflects the role of the BC Provincial Police Veterans’ Association in maintaining the relationships and memories of the men who served on the police force. Records include written reminiscences, newspaper clippings, and photographs of the men in service, as well as documentation and photographs of the activities of the Veterans’ Association and the lives of members. The scrapbooks document the political landscape of British Columbia from 1968 to 1991, in particular the activities of the Social Credit party; events, initiatives, and causes in Vancouver and provincially; state visits; McCarthy's viewpoint on particular issues; her political and charitable activities; leadership campaigns; and her personal and political relationships. They also document McCarthy's most notable accomplishments, including bringing Expo '86 to Vancouver, establishing SkyTrain as a rapid transit system, driving the construction of the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre, and the lighting of the Lions Gate Bridge. Bennett and Margaret Thatcher; her constituents, residents of British Columbia, and party members; and the business community.
