Series consists of records relating to Duthie Books’ publishing activities, including their book review periodical “The Reader,” “The New Reader,” as well as catalogues, guides and various staff, customer and employee newsletters. Series is divided into three sub-series: Original reader files (1986-1995); New Reader files (1996-1999); and Catalogue and newsletter files ([198-]-1999).

Series consists of publications created by the School and its predecessors. Material includes "CMNS news," the departmental newsletter; annual reports; and course outline booklets.

The series contains textual records that pertain to the Harry Jerome Awards, an annual ceremony that is arranged and presented by the Black Business and Professional Association. The series is arranged into one file, containing ceremony programs. The first ceremony was conducted in 1983. The ceremony was created by Hamlin Grange, Al Hamilton, Denham Jolly, Al Mercury and Errol Townshend, who had gathered in Toronto in November 1982 to discuss how to celebrate six Black athletes who had distinguished themselves at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, Australia. The group had planned to host a reception and decided to invite Harry Jerome as the keynote speaker; however, when Harry Jerome suddenly died in December 1982, the group decided to name the awards banquet after him. The first ceremony was held on March 5, 1983. In the first year of the ceremony, awards were only given based on athletic achievements. In 1984, the categories were expanded to include academics and arts. In addition, it was decided to honour members of the Black community who had contributed to the community.

Series consists of photocopies, magazines, zines, art catalogues, books, chapbooks, and clippings used for research in writing various essays, articles, columns, and poetry. Includes correspondence.

Series contains audio and audio-visual recordings featuring Adeena Karasick, including interviews, poetry readings and performances, academic pechakuchas, videopoems, and digital photographs.

Series consists of letters of correspondence, postcards, greeting cards, photographs, mailing address lists, prison correspondence lists, faxes, photocopies of letters, printed e-mails, excerpts from a magazine, newspaper clippings, a receipt, two calendars, earning reports, newsletters, a real estate advertisement, and drawings from Betty Krawczyk time in prison. Local, national, and international incoming and outgoing correspondence is included in this series. Some of the correspondence and its accompanying materials were received from Krawczyk’s family members and friends, while others are from strangers who read about her experiences in newspapers throughout the world. Some correspondence also includes proof samples of Krawczyk’s publications.

Series consists of articles and other writings by Norman Klenman. Includes drafts of the "Salt Spring Island Tatler" and the "Salt Spring Island Spectator", as well as copies of the “Diamond Jim Brady” columns he wrote in the 1990s.

Series consists of records relating to the administration and development of non-credit courses and programs offered by the Office of Continuing Studies and sponsored by SFU's academic faculties, departments and schools. Records include correspondence; working papers; reports; budgets and financial working papers; course proposals, outlines and evaluations; agendas and minutes; program contracts; student binders; pamphlets; and photographs and contact sheets.

Series consists of correspondence from the Department Chair to other faculty members and the Dean of Science concerning the position of the Chair and the Canadian Council of University Chemistry Chairmen (CCUCC) on the review of NSERC programs.

Cunningham asked several early faculty and other members of the SFU community to write down their recollections of the early years of the University. He had hoped that the University would produce a collection of essays to mark its 20th Anniversary. On the advice of an anonymous referee, the University decided against publishing the work. Cunningham considered other ways of producing the volume, but died before he could complete the project.

Series includes rough drafts and final drafts of essays selected for the volume by Cunningham. Essays are listed by individual author. File consists of correspondence between Stonebanks and others relating to his research for the Goodwin book, as well as correspondence relating to Stonebanks’ contribution of the entry “Albert Goodwin” to the Dictionary of Canadian Biography. Correspondents include archives and museums, corporate bodies, and private individuals with a connection to Goodwin.

Series consists of publications produced by the Office of the Vice-President, Research. Records include a directory of SFU research institutes and centres, promotional books on SFU's research accomplishments, circulars, grant writing workshop posters, and bi-monthly newsletters reporting on research updates.

This series consists of records relating to a series of tribute readings organized by Toby Brooks in honor of Pat Lowther, typically held at various bookstores on her milestone birthdays. The record types included are: correspondence, posters, promotional material, and business records relating to donations to support speaking and housing fees for various invited guests.

This series contains the various videotapes (and some cassettes and other multimedia formats) scattered throughout the collection. Some are professional copies, most are home recordings of various shows, most of which it is presumed LaPierre played a part or had an interest in.

Activities include allocation of departmental operating and capital budgets for units within the VP Academic's reporting portfolio; university funding requests under the provincial government's Funds for Excellence in Education (FEE) program; and budget reduction planning in 1995-1996.
