BC Beerfront News (CAMRA BC)

Sub-sub-series consists of 4 issues of the BC Beer Front News, the newsletter of CAMRA BC's predecessor organization. An earlier group of CAMRA Canada members based in the Lower Mainland incorporated as CAMRA BC in 1985. They met regularly and produced a newsletter for several years, but their registration as a BC Society had lapsed and they were no longer active by 1990 when the new group based in Victoria incorporated separately as CAMRA BC. Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the activities of the Audit Committee, sometimes also referred to as the Finance and Audit Committee. Activities, events and topics documented include Committee meetings, budget preparation, and correspondence with the Auditor General's Office. Records include terms of reference; minutes and supporting papers; correspondence; financial statements; and an information package.

Associate Vice-President, Academic - general

Sub-sub-series consists of the Vice-President, Academic's correspondence with, related to, or copied from the Associate Vice-President, Academic. Division of responsibilities between the VP and the AVP has changed over time and varied according to the individuals holding these positions. Prior to 1983, this series includes the actual correspondence of the AVP; around this date, the Office of the Associate Vice-President, Academic established its own file classification system and thereafter the AVP's correspondence was maintained separately (see fonds F-201). Activities and topics documented in the correspondence include meetings between the VP and the AVP, policy development, program proposals, government liaison, international activities, budget planning, supervision of units that reported to the AVP, high-school liaison, and promotion of university research. Records includes correspondence, proposals, reports, meeting agenda and minutes, agreements, and notes and working papers.

Sub-sub-series consists of correspondence, royalties, notes, and news clippings relating to Shackleton and Stewart’s book, published in 1959 by Longmans, Green, and subsequent article on Agnes Macphail. Series also contains correspondence, research notes, and the script for the 1977 NFB documentary film “The Lady from Grey County.”

Archives / Freedom of Information

Sub-sub-series consists of the Vice-President's correspondence with, related to, or copied from the University Archivist / Information and Privacy Coordinator during the period when the University Archives reported to the Dean of Student Services. The correspondence primarily deals with matters relating to the Archives' administration of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIPP) Act. Activities and topics documented include the processing of individual access to information requests, policy development, access and privacy advice, and the provincial Information and Privacy Commissioner's site visit to SFU in 1997. Records include correspondence, reference material relating to FOIPP, advice, access decision letters, and the submission of the University Presidents' Council (TUPC) to the Special Committee of the BC Legislative Assembly reviewing the FOIPP Act (1998).

Sub-sub-series consists of the Vice-President, Academic's correspondence with, related to, or copied from the University Archivist during the period when the University Archives reported to the Vice-President, Research. Topics documented include the establishment of the university's Archives Policy, the development of the records management program, and a report on access and privacy issues as they related to archival holdings. Records include correspondence, draft policies and working papers, reports, and records management advisory notes.

Sub-sub-series consists of the VP Academic's correspondence with, related to, or copied from the University Archivist. Topics include development of the university's Archives policy, and agreement with the Simon Fraser University Faculty Association relating to the faculty status of the University Archivist. Records consists predominantly of correspondence.
