Chapters, excerpts and articles

This sub-series consists of photocopy of chapters, articles, clippings and writings collected to support court cases that the Doukhobor community was involved and the research of the KCIR. The material in this sub-series relates to the Doukhobor history and their experiences in Canada, immigration and settlement, Doukhobor religious beliefs and their attitude to peace and avoidance of military service and their connection to the USSR. Most of records are in English and some in Russian.

Chainsaws in the cathedral records

Sub-series consists of records relating to the development and publication of Trower's 1999 book "Chainsaws in the Cathedral." Records include edited and unedited drafts, the book's original introduction by Al Purdy, and early page proofs.

Cereus Blooms at Night

Sub-series consists of drafts and manuscripts for the novel published as Cereus Blooms at Night in 1996.

Centre for University Teaching

Sub-series consists of the Vice-President, Academic's correspondence with, related to, or copied from the Centre for University Teaching. The Centre was established in 1994 and ceased operations in 2000, when it merged with the Instructional Media Centre to form the Learning and Instructional Development Centre (LIDC). During the whole of its existence, the Centre reported to the VP Academic. Activities and topics documented in the correspondence include the administrative organization of the Centre, development of teaching support programs and services, methods of evaluating teaching, and the activities of the Instructional Support and Development Group. Records include correspondence, meeting minutes, and reports, including annual reports of the Centre.

Centre for Dialogue

Sub-series consists of records relating to the development of SFU's Centre for Dialogue and its programs by Mark Winston in his capacity as the Centre's academic director and as a fellow. Unlike the USD program records, these materials are not considered official university records as they are not unique and are reflected in the records still held by the Centre itself. Records include correspondence, agendas, minutes, reports, proposals, and background literature.

Centre for Communications and the Arts

Sub-series consists of records relating to the daily administration of the Centre for Communications and the Arts and the Vice-President's correspondence with staff and the university community regarding music, films and theatre projects and exhibitions; minutes of Arts Centre staff meetings; budget development and grant applications; non-credit workshop planning and facility management. Also included are correspondence with the Advisory Committee on the Arts; a report on campus communications; and planning and promotional materials for the premier of the movie "Groundstar Conspiracy" that was filmed at SFU. Records include correspondence and working papers, agendas and minutes, reports, financial statements, contracts, newspaper clippings, and publications.

Celebrator Beer News Magazine articles

Sub-series consists of records relating to Rowling's published writings for Celebrator Beer News, a magazine established in California in 1988 reporting on craft beers and brewing. Records are primarily in digital format; see Scope and content note in the parent series description for record types. Media format is indicated in the file title ([paper] or [digital]).
