The fonds consists mainly of textual materials, including correspondence and diaries. Also present are photo albums, photographs and negatives. The fonds has been arranged into the following seven series: Personal correspondence (1934-1988), Diaries (1914-1973), Desktop diaries (1962-1973), Personal miscellaneous items (1937-1978), Photographs (1927-2002), and Outlawry of War (1921-1960).

Fonds consist of items related to the process of selecting, accepting, and editing manuscripts for journal publications dating from 1993 to 2006. This includes annotated envelopes from submitted material, publication agreement forms, correspondence between the contributor and the Collective members, artist and author biographies, self addressed stamped envelopes, artwork reproductions, submitted manuscripts in both electronic and hardcopy format, edited publication proofs, editors’ notes and internal correspondence, and published copies of the completed volumes. The Collective’s activities were conducted in Vancouver, British Columbia although submissions were accepted from women internationally.

The fonds consists of drafts of manuscripts of poetry, essays and articles, short fiction, scripts, and novels, originals and reproductions of publications in which Turner's and other author's works have appeared, clippings of reviews and articles about Turner and his published works, and other records and ephemera related to Turner's writing, editing, and publishing activities and projects. It also contains photographs, notes, clippings, correspondence, audio and digital recordings, ephemera and press materials related to Turner's musicianship, including his stint in the Hard Rock Miners. Fonds consists of records related to Mclntosh's publication and bookselling activities at Colophon Books. Records reflect the planning and preparatory stages of publications, book advertisement, and sales. Records include several Colophon Books chap books and broadsides, printed and illustrated by Jim Rimmer of Pie Tree Press, BC. Records are arranged into two series: Subject files and Publication files.
