Administrative records

Series consists of records generated from the administration of the filling Station Publications Society and the publication of "filling Station" magazine. These include minutes, correspondence, notes, grant and award applications, submissions, forms, subscriber lists, contact lists and distribution requests. Series is divided into the following four sub-series: Minutes (1993–1997); General administrative records ([199-]–1999]); Correspondence (1993–1999); and Grant applications (1995–2008).

Newspaper clippings

Series consists of records relating to newspaper articles written by James Delgado, featuring Delgado, or citing him or his work. These articles relate primarily to his early work on archaeological digs, his writing, expeditions he has participated in, and to shipwreck discoveries. Records include email printouts and newspaper clippings (both originals and photocopied reproductions).

Short stories records

Series consists of records relating to the writing and publishing of Flood’s many short stories. Records include drafts, notes, research, correspondence with publishers, publishing documents and printed journals. The series is divided into the following five sub-series: "The Animals in Their Elements" notes, drafts and other records (1976-1998); "My Father Took a Cake to France" notes, drafts and other records (1986-1999); "The English Stories" notes, drafts and other records (1990-2007); Published stories - general records (1968-2008); and Records related to unpublished stories (1961-1986).

A Well-mannered Storm: the Glenn Gould Poems

Series consists of records relating to writing the poems about Glenn Gould and his music's affect on her, which occurred just as Braid found out she had gone deaf in one ear. Records include drafts, research on composers and composition, correspondence, book launch records, and reviews.

Reports and publications

Series consists of reports and publications produced by LIDC and its predecessors to communicate the department's activities and programs. Record types include annual reports, newsletters, brochures, and posters. Includes materials created by the former Centre for University Teaching.

The materials in this series consist of media clippings, photographs, programs, pamphlets, bookmarks and promotional posters.

Meeting dockets

This series comprises meeting dockets distributed to Board members, selected University officials, and campus organizations before each regular meeting, starting from 2004 onwards. The dockets include minutes from the previous meeting for approval, along with the current meeting agenda and all pertinent support papers.

Includes meeting agendas, minutes, and support papers including correspondence; reports; financial statements; board committee minutes; contracts; architectural drawings; personnel records such as curriculum vitae, reference letters, and appointment forms; news clippings, and other documents.

For minutes or agendas and support papers related to meetings held before 2004 when these records were kept separately, please refer to series F-33-1: Official Minutes and F-33-2: Agenda support papers.

Reviews and articles regarding other writers and artists

Series consists of reviews, articles and other publications collected by Peter Trower relating to other writers and artists, particularly friends and acquaintances of Trower, as well as others who have influenced his work. Many of the items contain written notes or commentary by Trower. Includes material pertaining to the following individuals: Jim Christy, Lorna Crozier, Hubert Evans, Orville Fisher, Eileen Glassford, Jim Green, Bus Griffiths, britt hagarty, Jack Kerouac, Ken Kesey, Patrick Lane, Red Lane, Frank Lewis, Charles Lillard, John Moore, Stuart Nutter, Shari Pandit, Al Purdy, George Ryga, Robin Skelton, Godfrey Stevens, Robert Swanson, Warren Tallman, Tom Waits, and Jack Williams.

Film scripts, screenplays and related records

Series consists of scripts and screenplays written by Norman Klenman, alone and in collaboration with others, for feature and short films, both produced and not produced, as well as related records. Additional material includes related notes, correspondence, contracts, research material, and moving images. The series has been arranged into the following three sub-series: Film scripts, screenplays and related records – general, "The Swiss Conspiracy" screenplays and related records, and “Woodsmen of the West” screenplays and related records.

Travel records

Series consists of textual records and photographs relating to locations to which Blaser traveled. Records include travel schedules, receipts, handwritten notes, boarding passes, event programs, ticket stubs, and brochures.

Business and financial records

Series consists of records related to Blaser’s finances, including contracts, royalties and speaking honorariums, personal budgets, bank and personal loan information, pension records, tax records, mutual funds and stocks held by Blaser, and life insurance policies purchased by Blaser.

Honors and awards records

Series consists of records related to Blaser’s appointment to the Order of Canada and winning the Griffin Award for Excellence in Poetry. Items include correspondence, agendas and schedules, event programs, posters, photographs and negatives, and a video recording of the Order of Canada ceremony that Blaser participated in.

Non-fiction works records

Series consists of records relating to non-fiction works written by Daphne Marlatt. Records include manuscripts, newspaper clippings, and photographs.

Series has been arranged into the following three sub-series: "Readings from the labyrinth" records (1981-1998), "At the river's mouth: writing migrations" records (2008), and Reviews of other writers (1975-2002).

Red Bait: Struggles of a Mine Local

Series consists of record relating to Braid's work co-authoring (along with Al King) the book Red Bait: Struggles of a Mine Local. Series includes transcripts of interviews with Al and Lillian King, drafts, edits and comments to the manuscript by various reviewers, reviews, and Al King's obituary and associated notes.

Photographs

Series consists of photographs documenting Al Neil’s family, wartime experiences, wedding to Marguerite Neil, cabin at Dollarton, public performances, exhibitions and artworks.

Conferences and professional affiliations

Series consists of records documenting various conferences that Bill Richards attended, presented at, or was involved in organizing. It also includes records relating to Richards’ involvement as publisher and co-editor of INSNA’s journal, “Connections,” and some correspondence relating to the organization of the 2007 International Sunbelt Social Network Conference when he was INSNA’s President. Records primarily include conference programs, but also include correspondence, journal articles, a photograph, and footage of a Vancouver symposium for which Richards was organizer and convener.

Correspondence

Series documents Stanley’s interactions with friends and other writers in the form of both incoming letters and copies of outgoing letters. The letters include critical discussions of new work, either by Stanley or the correspondent, or relate to personal matters.

Series consists of Beaulieu’s resume, work assessments and tax returns filed by Derek Beaulieu from 1994 to 2007.

Sound and moving images

Series consists of student film productions and accompanying textual records, as well as audio and audio-visual recordings of performances relating to the School's dance, music and theatre program, and the Summer Institute. Records include moving images, audio recordings, and textual material relating to publicity or post-production work.

Research articles

Series consists of photocopied scholarly articles used by Blaser for personal and academic research.

Conference material

Series consists of material related to poetry conferences attended by Blaser. Records include essays, poems, correspondence, pamphlets, and newspaper clippings. Series is divided into the following two sub-series: Recovery of the Public World, 70th birthday conference; and General conferences.

Production files

Series consists of records relating to the physical production of books and broadsides. Activities documented include book design, proof-reading, and printing. Records include correspondence, contracts and agreements, mock-ups, photographs, negatives, and purchase orders.

IMAGeNation Film Festival

Series consists of documents related to the organization, funding, promotion, administration and hosting of the annual Aboriginal Film and Video festival in Vancouver, from 1998-2007. The series is divided into the follow sub-series: Festival administration; Grant applications and related correspondence; Publicity and promotional materials; Festival submissions, Panels, and Awards.

Administrative records

This series contains records related to administrative operation of the Valhalla Wilderness Society and work of Colleen McCrory, including correspondence and contact lists of individuals and organizations that Valhalla cooperated with in some capacity.
This series is divided into two sub-series: Correspondence and General Records.

Manuscripts, correspondence and other records relating to Flood's novels

Series consists of records relating to Flood’s two novels, one published and one unpublished. Records include handwritten and typed manuscripts, correspondence, drafts, research materials, publishing records and a published excerpt. The series is divided into two sub-series: The woman in the window (1974-1980) and Making a stone of the heart (1994-2004).

Series consists of the publications and other records generated from the publishing activity of housepress over its seven-year existence. Series contains the following sub-series: housepress publications (1997–2007), Editorial files (1997–[before 2005]), Administrative files (1998–2004), Financial records (1999–2007), Electronic file backups ([ca. 1999]–[ca. 2003]), and Objects ([between 1997 and 2004]).

Education

Series consists of course outlines, certificates, articles, print-outs of PowerPoint slides, and notes written by Betty Krawczyk when completing courses from the Institute of Indigenous Government concerning Aboriginal Women’s Studies. File also includes one Simon Fraser University course outline.

Invoices, sales registers and related records

Series consists of solely financial documents relating to inventory and the movement of books or products. Records include: cash and sales registers, handwritten balance sheets, book catalogs and invoice booklets.
